Monster or Creature in the Darkness?

First off: THIS IS NOT A "what's the MitD" THREAD.

I was just wondering: what's the official name for the guy under the umbrella? I've seen both "Monster in the Darkness" and "Creature in the Darkness" used by the Giant. Plus, we have Monster-san as an option too, though I'm not quite sure if it's use will be continued. Help, please?
