Demons & Angels Theme Week - Aug. 31 to Sept. 7

I've been thinking about something like this for a while, so considering Draconic Avatar Week is nearly over and there's no Theme Week anywhere in sight, how about we play a little Versus Game? :smallbiggrin:

It's simple enough, just pick a side. Demons or Angels? Good, or Evil? Get your avatar Demon'd or Angel'd up, and that's all!

And we'll probably have some epic battle down in SMBG. Maybe. :smalltongue:

Oh, and be sure to pick Angels. The Forces of Good need your help to battle Evil!

I don't think so. Not everything is a tool. Bloodlust, the desire to kill, is something quite horrid. Of course, it can be tamed to some extent, and turned to use as a weapon of justice, but it's still a pretty strong indicator of evil.

X week is where lots of people get together and make various adjustments to their avatar based on X theme.

Did you make your avatar? If you did, that's pretty artistic...if not, pick up Trazoi's inkscape guide (stickied in the Arts and Crafts area). Trust me, it's fun! :smallsmile:

Tall, skinny, and gaunt, with a very foreboding shadowed face under a hood, deep blue robes. Demonic wings of a shadowy blue, shifting like the depths of the ocean.

It's somewhat open for variation if you come up with an awesome interpretation of this.

Nah, 'sfine. To be honest, I think most of the time it's only really bothersome if it's done badly (and so reflects poorly on the original creator), or if it was changed soon after it was originally requested, when the creator probably would've been perfectly willing to do it themselves. You do it well, long after the original creation, it'd be fiddly as hell to change it myself (I'm about 3/4 of the way through changing the red one :smallsigh:), and I have no doubt that you'd be happy to stop if I asked you to. So we're good :smallcool:

A Modron dragon wouldn't make any sense. Modrons are a very specific type of outsider residents of Mechanus. There is a set amount of Modrons of each type even. Modrons don't even procreate. They are created from the energy of their leader when they need to increase numbers.

I am not opposed to a Mechanus dragon as such, even with machine parts, but keep it separate from my Modrons. :smallmad:

You make nice flame/cloud effects, its just that the wings colour (on both I think) makes it a bit harder to see.
I think you missed a toe on the former.
They are generally quite dark in colour, which might make it harder to make out details.
But it is only small small nitpick.

The first one is nicely done (good "bat-ish" wings and choice of colours).
The main thing I'm bothered with in the second one is the wings, sorry to say but they look quite like someone who attached two steel wires to his back and then hung wet cloth on them...
- I think the effect mainly comes from the second feather from the edge which goes all the way to the top of the wing. If you cut that link (and thus making the feather start hanging free further down) I think it would be an improvement.
The knifes/swords seem to disappear too, not sure if you noticed that.

Needs less angry eyebrows, more cruel sneer on the lips. I'd probably wipe the fangs until you get the sneer down and then work the fangs back into it. Unless the fangs actually don't pose any additional bits to work around for ya. I'm not well versed in your logistics.
If you want me to really get on you with the whole dictating to you what you should be doing though, I'd say thin out the tail a bit, and cut off a bit more of the bottom of the shirt and bring her bellybutton up slightly but not as much as is cut off from the bottom of the shirt/vest....

Also.
