So tomorrow, I get my brand new myTouch Android phone (yes, I know the name mytouch is stupid. I fully agree that they should have gone with G2). One of the things I'm super-pumped about is having a phone that I can use Google Voice with. (It's awesome. Read about it here (http://www.google.com/googlevoice/about.html)).
However, for some reason it had slipped my mind that it was by invite only, and I was wondering if anyone knows a site where people advertise/request invites, or if anyone had any extra invites sitting around, or anything like that. Can anyone help? I've done the official "request an invite" thing at the google voice site, but there's no telling how long that could take.
(On a side note, Apple rejecting the Google Voice app from the iphone has apparently lead to the fcc taking a long, hard look about Apple's App store, and the control they have over it. Read about it here (http://gizmodo.com/5327640/hallelujah-fcc-investigating-apple-for-google-voice-app-rejection)
