Anybody listen to the Halo soundtrack?

Presuming you mean the Halo 3 soundtrack. I thought it was great, but I'm a sucker for compelling instrumental music.

Marty O' Donnel has improved over time, and has managed, thankfully to avoid, this time, "borrowing" pieces from Enya's synthetic backing tracks.

However, I feel it misses the interesting 'inspired by' pieces that the Halo 2 soundtrack had (Although it has, unfortunately resulted in an inordinate amount of use of "Blow me away" in amvs on youtube).

This would probably be suited better to the media discussions forum. You could PM a mod to get them to move it.

I saw the Video Games Live concert in Houston, TX a couple weeks ago, and they played Halo music. It was in-freakin-credible to see a live symphony orchestra and chorral group doing video game music. They also did like, all of the stuff from World of Warcraft, which is really well written and sounded amazing!

I prefer the earlier versions from Halo 1 personally, because they don't have electric guitar in them, and I really like Gregorian Chant style music.

I prefer the Halo 1 soundtrack, but all 3 are excellent scores. They are completely worth listening to...

I wasn't a fan of any of the lyrical songs included on the soundtracks.

I have a copy of the H3 soundtrack, it's awesome except that terrible LvUrFR3ND5 crap.
