View Full Version : So ... how are Frudu and the Ming getting on?

Last seen in 415 (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0415.html). It's a quest that's been happening in parallel with the OOTS quest. More or less a running gag. The last I saw, Frodo and Samwose were carrying the Ming up the side of some mountain.

So what happened with that, I wonder? Anyone notice any volcanos going KA-BOOM?

Sorry. I'm just tired of discussions about V's gender or alignment (thank God the four words are over) or familicide and am reaching hard for a fresh topic. Bet this thread doesn't even make it to the second page.

Maybe Roy could grab the Ming and use it's ultimate power to crush Xykon ... maybe it traps souls or something? Kind of hard to imagine an eeeevil vase ...

Respectfully,

Brian P.

You do have to wonder...

What DID happen to that thing, which has appeared in DCF, Origins, and...

did it appear in No Cure for the Paladin Blues or SoD?

There is still some debate actually.

It appeared in dungeon crawling fools? One of the bonus panels, I assume.

Something you must consider is that while it is plot central, they did not specify the size of the plot. It could be plot-central to a campaign dedicated to saving one village from an imp and his commoner and house cat minions.

That will never end. Ever.
Even after the comic finishes.

That actually sounds quite deadly.

Especially the cats. :smallamused:

Were you careful to make both of your lines five words or was that accidental?

Well, hopefully they don't run into Snuggles the Death Kitten, (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93068) sealed for all time in the lower pages of the linked thread.

...except that a cult has sprung up here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116099&highlight=fluffy+death+kitten), and a class was made for hir's fell servants here. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76770&highlight=fluffy+death+kitten)

to put it in roy and haley terms, 10gp says that no more then an hour after the MitD is revealed, someone on the forums will proclaim it either a shape shifter, under the effects of a polymorph spell, or some other creature entirely and the true MitD is somewhere else

AKA Bait: Mer? One magic missile should drop snuggles.

AstralFire: 'Snuggles' had one eye replaced with a Shield brooch and the other casts disintegrate at will. What now?

Thus began the legend of Snuggles the Death Kitten.

I'm still not sure if I regret posting that line or not.

The first four pages after that made for amusing reading, then it started to get tiresome and I stopped reading it. I still think that it is an interesting part of the forum mythology (or folklore, depending on if there is an age requirement for mythology), and there are several people with signatures citing it, which was how I found it in the first place.

Perhaps Kyrie and Hilgya have joined the Fellowship of the Ming.

Oops ... we're not allowed to do that anymore, are we?

:Shakes his fist at forbiddenwar:

Regardless, that was a BAD, bad pun.
