I'll start it off mediocre so people will feel better about their posts.

My floor just got finished with remodeling, it looks much better now, that is all.

I finally had my order from Amazon delivered two days ago. It contained my Serenity RPG book. :smallcool:

I really like what I'm seeing so far, I just hope I get a chance to actually play some day.

I played in a Babylon 5 call to arms doubles tournament, we each had 5 skirmish use for ships, so I brought ISA (Inter Stellar Alliance), two white stars, and the Liandria. My partner brought the Dilgar. While we didn’t do so great, we talked a lot of smack and had a lot of fun. My brother won the tournament with a cheeseball Drakk force. Its everyone’s fault, they said they were bringing energy mines to negate the stealth his Mimbari (his usual faction) ships have, so he brought a different force and pummeled. To date my bro hasn’t lost a Bab 5 tournament.

Not GenCon, but NERF makes foam swords (http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/geekdad/images/2009/03/18/nerf_nforce_blue.jpg) now. Haven't bought them (yet...), but after a small sword fight in the isles of Wal-Mart, I must say that they're pretty good quality.

Well, I've not strayed out of my flat today, so my sights have been fairly limited. Best thing I've seen is probably my now complete(ish) first draft of a thesis chapter due in tomorrow.

Best thing I saw yesterday, however, was the group of goths in full length black corseted dresses in the city centre attempting to look cool but mostly just looking uncomfortably warm, lace-edged parasols notwithstanding. Made me giggle to myself, thus making me look crazy to everyone nearby.

We actually just bought one of the generic ones today! The NERF ones are really hard, and we pictured lots of bonks to our heads from them. So the cheaper one won out! He's loving it!

Myself and a friend have been building a set of bunks, from scratch, to our own design for his two youngest children. We dry fitted the thing today having built 90% of the parts. Seeing the fruit of our labour actually look like an alegant piece of furniture (not at all like a cage honest) has made the last couple of months splinters, bruised knuckles, aches and sawdust in unexpected places worthwhile.

I'd never heard of this until I started sharing that song, it seems the guy is somewhat famous. Maybe we could rope him in as our next celebrity guest for a future UK meetup.

A few days ago I saw a breakdown van coming helping a broken down van by the side of the road. The van had a big sign across reading "Marvello's Circus of Freaks" and by the side of the road stood a midget and a man standing on his hands.

That was pretty funky.

Then on the way back I kept my eyes open to see if I could see anything as cool. What I saw was a teenaged girl creating vomitous explosions out of the back window of a fast moving car. It's not pretty and I made sure to not stay behind that vehicle for long.

My cat (which is insane) got mowed over by my dog because she decided to try and hiss at him and scare him off(not because he was bothering her, he was on the other side of the room at the time), but failed to take into account that once food has been dropped anywhere in the house, his mind becomes focused like a laser and he forgets to be afraid of sharp hissing things. Long story short, she decided to make a stand between him and piece of sausage. 15 pound cat versus 120 pound dog. You do the math.

That's like... nonconformist fruit! Awesome! Also, they'll taste better than store-bought apples, which are bred to have thick skins and end up losing flavor as a result.

Realizing I'd finally covered the red-and-black bedroom of the new house in enough paint to cover the terrible red-and-blackness.
I mean I know it's a classic color scheme but glossy black does not belong on the ceiling.
