Is it possible to use the Chamelon PrC's floating bonus feat to acquire an epic feat, if your levels of Chameleon come above character level 20?

Why not? If you meet the pre-reqs...

The floating bonus feat can be for any feat you qualify for.

This includes epic feats if your level is above 20. You don't even need to take Chameleon after level 20 - even if youg et the floating bonus feat at level 7, once you hit level 21 it can be used as an epic feat.

This is very good news. Thank you.

I still have to see if the DM is okay with it, but at least I've confirmed it isn't a misreading of the rules. I was afraid you could only take epic feats for either the per-three-character levels slots above 20th, or from epic progressions for classes which grant bonus feats.

Epic feats are feats with the requirement "Must be Epic". Just like Psionic feats require you to have the Psionic subtype, and Incarnum feats require you to have the Incarnum subtype.

There's nothing innately special about them beyond that. They're feats.
