Apparently it's happening right now. Anyone else watching?

(I've been back and forth outside a few times and haven't seen any, but a friend on Twitter reports having seen quite a few so far.)

It's not happening here right now, but I will be going out once it gets dark.

Wish I was, Dallas lights are too bright to see it. :smallfrown:

Where would one go to see it between Baltimore and DC? I'm having a hard time thinking of a place with little light pollution.

Yeah, in and around the big cities you probably won't get the chance. (I know some website made suggestions of where to go near LA, like certain national forests or places in the desert, but I have seen anything for DC area or Dallas.)

I've seen one or two so far, but heavy fog, intermittent cloud cover, and an extra-bright waning gibbous moon seem to be conspiring against me.

i dont know if ill see any here in las vegas :smallfrown:You shouldn't have to go too far out of town to have ideal viewing conditions though.

There are various sites claiming different things, but I think in general it's anytime tonight for the "peak" viewing time.

I heard midnight-5 as well, I'm going to go outside and see if I can spot any in a bit. Hopefully my town isn't too afflicted with light pollution.

On Yahoo they said it can also be seen tomorrow night, but I'm not too sure how accurate that information is.

I saw a couple yesterday here in Oregon. I haven't looked today because I'm boring and don't really care.

Well, that was pointless. Google tells me the day after it's happened.:smallannoyed:

It was complete cloud cover last night in Boston. Sigh.

I looked last night, but couldn't see them despite a complete absence of cloud.

You should still be able to see them tonight. Unfortunately, I'm in London (which is hella bright), and we've a forecast of cloud and rain for tonight besides. Grr.

I'm just going to buy some weedkiller and keep one eye closed.

I saw them a couple years ago with my cousins, and they were pretty awesome. We're gonna go to the beach to see them tonight. Although it was really misty last night, so they might not be visible. :/

Saw a few last night. Heading over to a friend's tonight (which is supposedly the apex of the shower) for our annual stay-up-and-watch-meteors night, although it seems that the weather may not let that happen.

I can't see any from my house. Most likely because the sky is filled with rainclouds.:smallsigh:

I was too tired to find clear skies last night. Husband over in the desert is seeing some now though.

i went and watched for a half hour before falling asleep. woke up about an hour an a half later, and watched some more before heading home. It was awesome. Expect for the ground being sloped and rocky, but i can live with that.

took a friend with me as well.

I am going to take a look tonight, but it's a bit cloudy right now, and I am in a city.

Thanks for the reminder, though, rtg0922!

Was far too cloudy for us to see it as well. Yay British summers (and weather forecasters)

I thought it was gonna end up too cloudy again here last night after being that way most of the day, but it actually cleared up for a few hours and we got to see a few last night. Not many, but enough to say I saw them. :smalltongue: It didn't last long, though - after about an hour or two, the clouds and heavy fog rolled in again, and everything was obscured.
