Hi, hope this post isn't redundant or in the wrong place somehow... >_<;;

For some reason my custom Avatar decided to disappear. I checked my User CP and the URL for my avatar is still fine, anyone know what I should try?

If you're using Photobcuket, you should check and see if the image is still there. You might have deleted the image on Photobucket by mistake.

Make sure the radio button for "custom" is selected. That's not it.

When I try to open the url you're using, it instantly redirects to the deviantart main page. I suspect that there's something about deviant art that prevents hotlinking, but I leave it to someone more technically savvy to sort out.

It appears to me that your URL doesn't exist anymore. The URL for your avatar seems to be http://fc70.deviantart.com/fs41/f/2009/006/b/5/temp_avatar_by_Lorien077.png, but when I try to go there, it directs me to the DA homepage. I suggest you contact the artist who made your avatar and find the permanent URL, or if you did it yourself, that you upload to a site like Photobucket where it's unlikely to spontaneously disappear or be removed.

I did make it myself, so I'm going to try resubmitting it. Sometimes DA is wacky. I don't have a photobucket account and don't really want another extraneous image hosting account.
And thanks for the compliment Astralfire. I'm still learning a lot though. ^_^;;;

EDIT: Yeah... how did you get the DA image to embed? I can't get it to work. >_<;;

EDIT V2: Found an image hosting site that doesn't require an account, so I'm good to go. Thanks folks.

You may have been linking to the page that the image occurred on not the page dedicated solely to the image.

Actually I found the problem to be that DA took out its URLs.

On a side note your avatar reminds me a great deal of an Abarat character. Was that intentional or am I just being a dork? >_<
