View Full Version : If the OOTS were Super Smash Bros. charecters

This Idea may seem kind of....unusual. But I was thinking, what if, through some strange event, (Nintendo and GITP have a merger, etc.) OOTS charecters became new super smash bros. charecters? What would their specials be? What would their final smashes be? Here's what I've got so far...

ROY

special:power attack
side special: great cleave
up special: ?
down special: Starmetal strike

Final smash:?

Optimystik

Roy's up special would be to borrow the ring of jumping :smallwink: His down special should be bull rush, and the Starmetal Strike should be his final smash.

Too lazy to work on the others, I'll let the resident smashtarSSB players take a whack at the others.

How about some evil?

Thog:

Elan

A: Rapier Thrust (A basic thrust with the rapier)
B: Banjo's Wrath (Elan whips out the Banjo puppet, who fires off a bolt of divine lightning)
Side B: Quip (Elan momentarily pauses to deliver a singing insult, then attacks with a long rapier thrust for good damage and a strong knockback)
Up B: Heroic Timing (Elan leaps out of an explosion at the last minute, the explosion damaging his foes. The leap, of course, gives him some extra distance)
Down B: Bardic Ballad (Foes within a short area have their controls reversed for a few seconds, in addition to taking minor damage)

Final Smash: Dramatic Entrance (Elan leaps from the stage, jumping back in from the screen side in a storm of shattering glass which deals decent damage to most of the stage. For about 20 seconds he has improved speed on all his moves, and improved damage, knockback, and damage reduction).

BatRobin

Nale:

A: Sword Attack (Yeah, basic sword swipe like Marth/Ike/Link)
B: Mini-Fireball (Chargeable fireball like Lucario's Aura Sphere)
Side-B: Sword Thrust (Thrust of sword while dashing to side)
Down-B: Ghost Form (Short time where Nale goes ghostish with magic to avoid attacks)
Up-B: Sword Jump (Like Marth's Up-B)
Final Smash: Sword of DOOM (Nale charges around the screen at each player, slashing rapidly with sword)

Yes, this. She uses a grappling-hook-arrow in Origin.

Nale's down-B should be Suggestion, which works like Jigglypuff's song (stun enemies that try to hit him with melee.)

I need help with Redcloak, fellow smashtarSSB players

:redcloak:
Stand-B: Smite (chargeable)
Side-B: Disintegrate (beam)

Insect Plague is good for Final, Blade Barrier acting like hover-blades for Up-B is good, everything else is good.

V should switch to soul splice like samus with the armour.
eg. V final smash: soul splice, soul splice V final smash: Shapechange and lost soul splice.

V/Soul Splice V
A: Fireball/Sunburst.
B: DISINTEGRATE/MAXIMIZED DISINTEGRATE.
Side-B: Lightning Bolt/Chain lightning.
Up-B: Flight/Teleport.
Down-B: Explosive Runes/Time Stop.
Final Smash: Soul Splice/Shapechange.

Shapechange should be like Samus' Beam. (Shapechanges into a dragon and use breath wepon)

P.S. I only play this once a month with my nephew, so i may not have this 100% right.

Miko:

Special: Stunning Fist
Side Special: Windstriker-Charge
Up Special: Lay on Hands (heals miko for 10% of health or so)
Down Special: Evasion-Strike (avoid an attack then leap in with slashies, similar to Marth)

Final Smash: Smite Evil

I realize letting Miko heal herself is a bit unusual, but I think it might actually work since the Up-Special is usually a recovery move... meaning that Miko has a hard time recovering from being knocked off the side of the level, and her "defense" against it is to keep her % down.

Optimystik
2009-08-13, 03:36 PM
A better up-B for Miko would be her Circle Kick, allowing her to spin herself back toward the edge a la Link.

B:Smite Evil (only affects villains)
Side-B: Argent Rush (climbs onto Argent and runs the length of the stage, biting everyone in his way)
Up-B: Argent Leap (do I really have to explain this?)
Down-B: Lay on Hands (if not interrupted for five seconds, heals half his damage)

Final Smash: Twelve Gods' Blessing

The Twelve Gods appear above him and grant him superhuman powers for a minute, making all of his attacks do twice the damage and making him invincible.

It should do double / triple damage to villians (and Belkar!), Smite Evil will still hit good characters, but won't do any additional damage beyond what the sword would normally do.

Z'zdrti

a: touch spell (similar to lucario.)
b: shield (Reflective)
b>: magic missle
b^: fly (slightly higher than V)
bv: Chain lightning

final smash: copywright infringment (lawyers come from farther area of stage a instantly knock anyone in their path of the stage, then they drag Z off the stage, but it deosn't count as a KO, and Z appears on stage soon afterwards)

also,

Assist trophy: Order of the scribble. chance of getting it: very low
The order of the scribble appears. Dorukan throws fireballs at the nearest enemy, Giarid creates illusions that fly accross the screen, Kaalgor runs around the stage hacking at everything, Liran causes roots to entangle foes, Soon casts smite evil bon anyone who gets near, and Serin attacks anyone who comes near. This lasts for 20 seconds

Assist trophy: Monster in the darkness. Chance of getting it: Moderate
The Mitd appears and begins stomping. With each stomp, the stage cracks a little. On the 6th stomp, half of the main platform collapses. The Mitd then dissapears, but the effects last for another minute.

FreddoGoatpants
2009-08-14, 02:28 PM
MitD:

A: Hit with Hello Kitty umbrella
B: Yell really loud
Side B: Play "whoever hits the lightest wins"
Up B: Some sort of up attack with umbrella
Down B: Ground shattering stomp
Final Smash: As he goes to unveil himself, someone turns out the lights. In a fit of rage, he attacks everyone in the darkness. Lights come back on.

A: Hits with spoon.
B: Hat-attack: Pulls his hat over the enemy's eyes, making the risk to fall greater for the enemy.
Side-B: Spoon-Throw: Throws spoon, doing some damage and knocking the enemy backwards.
Down-B: Enemy Drop Soup: Pulls out a kettle with Soup, and if the enemy lands in it he/she takes damage.
Up-B: Coconut-oil: Jumps up-wards in the air, whips out a pot and pours coconut-oil over the enemy. If the oil hits, the enemy runs around un-controllable which gives Chef plenty of time to get do some extra damage.
Final Smash: Kitchen-Bombard: Goes into trance, and suddenly all kinds of kitchen-things get thrown at the enemy, from nowhere.(Of course not litterly from Nowhere. I mean, that place is thousands of miles from here. That wouldn't make sense.)

features: goblins and undead repetedly coming. Touching gate is instant kill

Boss in Campaign Mode:

Yung adult Black Dragon: Undefeatable, you just have to survive a certain amount of time and when time is up Suvie hypnotizes it, and you have won.

Stage in Campaign Mode:
Azure City Throne Room: You're playing as O-chul and have to survive the crazy paladins until you get to the throne.

And some more stages!!!!!!!!!!!

Hinjo's Junk.....*giggle*

Features: Sea trolls come up once and a while, The ship sometimes washes up on the shore of the orc island, and five orcs will charge the players. The ship will eventually get off the island in a panick because another 30 orcs are just running out of the trees.

Battle of Azure City (unlockable)

features: humans and hobgoblins are battling in trhe backround. arrows are flying everywhere, and azure city soldiers and hobgoblins attack each other on the stage and attack good or evil players. the hobgoblins keep coming for a minute, or until the siege ladder is destroyed. there is no way to prematureley stop the azure city soldiers from coming. the walls occasionaly collapse. when that happens, hobgoblins just keep coming.

What a great idea!

My idea for V:

jab/tilts- magic missile, in different directions

B-lightning bolt
down B- explosive runes (mine type of things)

up B- overland flight

grab- Evan's spiked tentacles of forced intrusion!

smashes- forward smash- disintegrate
up-smash- Blackwing attack!
down-smash- fireball around her.

I only play the N64 version, so no side-B's, etc. But if there was a final smash, obviously soul splice.

Ooooh, epic.

Assist Trophy: Banjo!!!
He magically levitates, moving around and stunning anyone nearby with his glory.

Assist Trophy: Flumphs
Hover around on the stage and beneath it, they hold a falling character and bounce them up.

Thog:
Up-B: Jump up, slamming axe upwards (hits a large area ahead of Thog)
Side-B: Charge up a raging charge (like Ike's side-B)
Down-B: Whirl axe around to slam the ground, knocks people down and deals heavy damage.
Final Smash: Thog gets a leprechaun costume, rendering him faster and unhittable.

Roy - Med speed, med weight, strong hits.
B: Great Cleave (large, slow sword swipe)
B^: Heroic Leap (jumps up and to the side. If he hits someone, swipes them with sword and is allowed to do another B move)
B\/: Battle Tactics (Next attack does extra damage/knockback)
B>: Bag of Tricks (Throws a small, weak projectile 80%, a large, strong one 20%)
FS: Unstoppable Rage (Sword snaps [only for the animation] Roy leaps at the nearest character and throws them off the screen)

Belkar Fast, light, weak hits.
B: Whirling Slash (Spins forward, slashing anyone he touches)
B^: Ring of Jumping (High jump, Belkar can still use A attacks after)
B\/: Mr Scruffy (Calls Mr Scruffy, who Belkar can throw at enemies to claw them)
B>: Throw Dagger (Throws a dagger, 10% of the time a high damage match)
FS: The Sexy Shoeless (Belkar laughs manically and gains speed, damage and immortality for a little while - like Wario's FS.)

V - Med Speed, low weight, strong hits.
B: Fireball (shoots out a fireball, can be charged)
B^: Teleport (Like Zelda's)
B\/: Explosive Runes (like Snake's proxy mines)
B>: Ray of Frost (spammable, weak skill)
FS: Spliced (Supercharges skills, adds flight and immortality)

Haley - High speed, low weight, med attack
B: Bowshot (Shoots bow, like Link)
B^: Grappling Hook (like Olimar's)
B\/: Sneak Attack (Turns invisible. Moving breaks it, but attacks deal double dmg from it)
B>: Frost Arrow (Slower, powerful bowshot, sometimes freezes)
FS: I SAID Sneak Attack! (Like Snake's, but with a bow, and faster, stronger shots nstead of Explosions)

Elan - VERY fast, light, light/med attacks
B: Bardic Song (Like Jigglypuff's Sing, but longer range and slower to cast)
B^: Dramatic Dodge (jumps high, causing an explosion where he jumped from)
B\/: Banjo's Prayer (Random: AOE damage, small heal, single target missile)
B>: Punny Attack (stronger, comboing hits, like Marth)
FS: Banjo's Thunder (Thunderbolts strike enemies, dealing VERY high damage)

Meh, might do some more later...

I would give Miko a similar moveset to Roy from Melee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcUCdGmlWzc&fmt=18), but with his Up+B move replaced by a vertical version of the Starfox characters' Side+B. Replace the fire effects with light ones, and rename Roy's Neutral+B (Flare Blade) to Smite Evil.

His basic A move is a spell? With freezing powers? Over powered!

Side B would also be overpowered.

The Zombie Dragon is big enough to be a final smash.

Of course hes overpowered, hes Xykon. He should honestly be a boss. Maybe have human Xykon back when he was still young and not that strong as a playable character would be better. Hell, transforming into a Lich could be his final smash! The MiTD also shoudnt be a playable character, maybe an assist trophy.

Anyway, I agree that V Final smash just has to be the Soul splice. It doesnt last long and he lose the splice one by one becoming gradually weaker but hes pretty much invincible and can kill anything when he has the three splice.

And since nobody did him (except for the guy who said b=win):

O-chul Low speed, heavy weight, strong hits.

A:Some punch and sword strike.
B:Smite evil (deals double damage on evil characters)
Up B: Shark attack (a shark come pick him up out of nowhere, this deals damage to O-chul but does a lot more damage to enemies hit by the shark.)
Side B: Reckless charge (O-chul charge forward and punch the first enemy he see)
Down B: Inner calm (if an enemy hit O-chul, it still damage him but he doesnt not flinch at all and immediatly counter-attack with a strong punch.)

Final smash: Unbreakable resolve (O-chul take absolutely no damage and does not flinch at all for a while. Hes also faster so that people dont just run away from him while his final smash work.)

Xykon as a boss? Sounds fun :)

Xykon
Size of a normal character.
Flys around the area between attacks.
Fought in a Final Destination-shape stage.
High health.

Skills:
Meteor Swarm: Flys to middle of stage, and launches large fireballs each about 1/3 the size of the stage.
Energy Drain: Xykon flys towards the player. Has no knockback, but adds 150% damage.
Ray of Frost: Shoots a small ray every second for 5 seconds which deals small damage and spikes the player downwards.
Lightning Bolt: Flys to edge of stage, then shoots out a large, thick stream of lightning.
Magic Missiles: Flys across the top of the screen, shooting missiles.
Finger of Death: Xykon flashs black, then shoots out an instant-kill ray. Must be dodged (R-dodge, is too fast to jump/run away from).
Animate Dead: Summons 5 undead, which must be knocked off the stage to kill them. Have basic melee attacks and no jumps.
Cloudkill: Creates a green cloud, about 1/2 the stage in size and very high. Adds 15% damage per second when standing in, and slows movement.

New Snacks (Soy Latte, Pizza, Nachos)

New Snacks works like the Pokemon Trainer; each member has different techniques and grows progressively weaker as time passes. The trio can switch who's fighting to keep everyone strong.

Down B: switch to the next member

Soy Latte:

A: shoot arrow
B: spill hot coffee (small, continual damage)
Side B: Lid boomerang
Up B: shoot arrow with string upward and pull self up if it hits a platform

Pizza:

A: stab with sword
B: topping assault: chuck mushrooms, pepperoni, etc. at enemies
Side B: great cleave
Up B: Throw sword up with cheese connected

Nachos:

A: hammer attack
B: nacho toss (stabbish)
Side B: cheese grenade
Up B: cheese rocket: shoots cheese downward at a high velocity

Final Smash: SL fires a slew of arrows at the target, stunning them; Pizza then stabs them repeatedly, dealing them tons of damage; finally, Nachos hits them from the side with the hammer, causing them to fly off the stage.

Fought in Starmetal Cave or over a huge mountain or at V's House (Iunno which would work best)

The mother black dragon should be a boss. Someone think of it's stats.

I'm bored, why not :)

Mother Black Dragon
Very large, half of her comes off edge of screen.
Arena with no pits - player must be knocked off side of screen.
Only moves location as part of some attacks.

Skills:
Acid Breath: Needs to be ducked under (or be a short character, eg Belkar) or jumped over, depending.
Swipe: Swipes with its claws.
Anti-Magic Field: When entered, slows the player and prevents b attacks.
Bite: Deals high damage. if a direct hit, will swallow the player, dealing even more damage then spitting them across the screen.
Stomp: Flys up, then crashes down on the player.
Enraged Charge: Roars, blurring the screen, then rushes across, swapping sides and trying to ram the player.
Flap: Flaps her wings, pushing the player backwards.

That good? :)

Huh. I started one of these a while ago- I should probably finish it. Lemme put up what I've got.

Roy Greenhilt, the fearless leader of the famed Order of the Stick, joins the brawl! Hailing from a universe run by the rules of D&D, how will his fighting style translate to Brawl? Roy's dynamic attack style carries him all over the stage, bringing the weight of his family greatsword to bear with lightning-fast, powerful swings. However, this reckless attack style can lead to highly punishable openings if not managed right. Power, speed, and priority are present in most if not all of his moves, but their awkward motions and timing can lead to disaster unless the player is quick enough to ensure that the opponent can't punish.
Roy's main gimmick is the d20 die- upon the execution of any move, a small d20 icon will appear over his head, displaying a number from 1 to 20. Any attack on a natural 1 automatically fails to deal knockback, and any natural 20 automatically doubles damage. All smash moves and grab attacks also have another effect- any value 8 or below will decrease damage by 1%, where a roll of 12 or higher adds 1%.

~A Combo: Cross Slash~
Roy swings his greatsword in a diagonally downward arc, which causes downward knockback to airborne foes and decent forward knockback to any ground-bound foe in front. This move has decent range near the feet, but the hitbox of the move makes actually hitting airborne foes harder. This first hit deals 9% damage, and has enough knockback to clear any opponent out of range of his first strike, making the second strike seem unnecessary. However, continuing the attack results in a second swing. Mostly used for punishing step dodges or trying to punish the lag from the uncontinued move, this essentially covers for misses, dealing 10% damage and higher knockback, as well as cancelling lag that would have resulted from the lone swing. The second swing also provides a more reliable arc, hitting earlier since it starts wide at the top and comes down- a / shape rather than a \ shape. However, the second attack itself also has considerable ending lag, and the relatively slow speed of the move in the first places discourages use unless you're really punishing the opponent. Each hit moves Roy about 1/5 of a SB block.

~Forward Tilt: Greatsword Slam~
Roy pulls his sword behind him and lets loose a lightning-fast slam in a semicircle arc, which deals 11% and high knockback. The hitbox is essentially a thin line in front of Roy, but it extends forward fairly far and comes out quickly after the discreet startup lag. Unfortunately, this half-moon arc not only leaves considerable ending lag, but in fact turns Roy around, making it difficult to quickly block any opportunistic action. It also moves Roy forward an SB block. It can be useful in free-for-alls to quickly change position while letting out an attack. This move is exemplary of Roy's fast and powerful yet punishable moveset. If this move would carry Roy off of the edge of a platform, the move deals only 6% damage (with minimal knockback) and pulls back, negating the movement properties.

~Forward Smash: Roll Initiative~
Roy looses a loud battlecry and swings his sword in a low underhand arc, which -UNFINSIHED-

~Neutral Special: Game of Chance~
Roy executes an overhead jumping attack. At first, it might seem a normal move- it does grant superb aerial coverage and doesn't move him more than a fraction of an SB, and has a large forward hitbox, but upon connecting, the screen freezes and a d20 appears transparently on screen, displaying a number- the damage of the move. The damage (anywhere from 1-20%) is inversely proportional to the knockback- a 2 would be a low-damage, high knockback attack useful for KOs, whereas a 19 would deal 19% but deal next to no knockback. The two exceptions are a natural 1 (which causes Roy to miss the attack entirely and trip in the process), and a natural 20 (which deals 20% with very high knockback).

~Forward Special: Spot Check~
Roy holds up a finger and looks around furtively, after which the screen freezes and the d20 appears onscreen. The number on the die indicates how long the screen will remain frozen in place, revealing not only any hidden enemy but also informing the player of vital information such as damage, what move the enemy is using, and even frame data and a drop-down menu that allows you to check Roy's moves against the enemy's moveset for priority and such. There's limited time to do this, but it does serve as a pause in tournaments, allows the player to get a grip of the situation, and has two other effects. On a natural 1, both Roy and the opponent turn entirely invisible for five seconds, "player x" beacon and all. On a natural 20, Roy immediately leaps toward the opponent and smashes him out of his current move for 4% and medium knockback. The menu version can be cancelled at any time by pressing Start.

Instead of Pokeballs, I think summoning spells would work; just scrolls anyone could pick up that brought on monsters.

Dire Lemming: Acts like Piplup. Charges to end of stage, dragging anyone in the way with it.

Lumber Hulk: Skips and jumps back and forth around the stage, knocking people around.

Misplacer Beast: Walks around stage and takes items.

-Slam: Rises up off the screen, and slams down, dealing 60% and propelling you far.
-Greater teleport: Teleports around the screen, teleports to the side and fly-by attacks you for 20%
-Insect plague: Fills 70% of the screen, blocking vision and dealing 4% per second (20 seconds)
-Plant growth: Conjures up platns from the ground that deal 2% whenever you touch the ground (Lasts 40 seconds)
-Corrupt water: Creates small splash of water that stuns and deals 1% per second (Lasts 12 seconds)

Boss in Campaign Mode:

Xykon, round 1.

You play as Roy with no sword since Xykon destroyed it in the cut-scene before the fight. On the right side of the stage is the Gate. You can punch Xykon until his head falls of but then he stops taking damage but gets easier to throw, so you have to grab and throw him into the Gate.

Anti-Magic Field: When entered, slows the player and prevents b attacks.

I like this, but I think that instead of denying all B moves, it should removes the special stuff that come with them. For example; Falcon Punch no longer catches on fire, deals less damage, and is instead just a normal (albeit strong) punch. Moves like Pikachu's Thunder based solely on the special stuff wouldn't work though.

b punch

a disintegrate

down b tactician- places a trap on the ground, any character who walks over it (including rc) activates a trap that spawns several swords attacking anything in the immediate area for a few seconds.

up-b recall. RC teleports, similar to shiek.

side b. slay living RC reaches out his hand, if he touches another character, lightning arcs into that character, doing moderate damage but little knock back.

final smash. basic chemistry. 3 titanium elementals are catapulted onto the stage, there entrance stuns all players but RC, they will seek out and attack the players for several seconds, there attacks deal massive damage and knock back

tsukiko. tsukiko starts with 4 undead with her. these can be attacked, and if they should fall off the ring they will die as they have no means of saving themselves, they will however deal basic melee damage to anyone who walks in there threat range and unless targeted, (see below) will act independently of tsukiko

b high kick. normal attacks made by tsukio will focus her zombies, causing them to swarm the attacked person for several seconds, regardless of how far away they are from tsukiko

a electric orb. this move can be charged for more damage and knock back.

up-b limited flight. additionaly, if thrown over the edge the zombie horde will gather at the edge, rather then go over, and attempt to protect there mistresses landing, attacking any body who comes near. however this leaves them highly vulnerable to being smashed off all at once

side b. shout. a low damage but knock back move, tsukiko shouts directly in front of her, the concussive force will smash a character back.

down b. create undead. what would tsukiko do without her children? tsukiko will channel for 3 seconds to create another undead soldier. if more then one has been slain, you can keep the button pressed, after the first soldier another one will resurrect every 1.5 seconds. max 4

final smash. death's mistress. the ground will erupt, spawning as many zombies as the arena will hold, these will persist for 15 seconds, and they will all have increased damage and knock back

Here are what I think the final smashes should be for the characters.
:roy: When the smash ball breaks his sword starts glowing. When you press any button any enemies around roy go flying. Then for the next 15 seconds he does double damage.
:vaarsuvius: 3 fiends come from below the screen and grant her powers. Then she can fly around and everyone she hits get 100% damage and a smash attack. She can also shoot fireballs while in that state. It would be something like sonic the hedgehogs.
:elan: When he breaks the smash ball he grabs banjo from his pocket, jumps into the air and from banjos mouth shoots fireballs. Then a huge pane of window falls from the sky (crushing anyone under it) and elan breaks through it dealing damage to everyone
:belkar: When he breaks the smash ball he says his famous quote and using his ring of jumping jumps so far up you can't see him. Then daggers come flying from all directions. When belkar lands an explosion happens that is equal to smash to anyone around him.'

:haley: She fades out of site. Then she appears behind an enemy and fires an arrow. She repeats this quickly for every enemy. Then She appears in the middle and members of the resistance come charging in. They can be killed and will disappear after the final smash is done.

:durkon: 2 words: Thor's Might. It will be something like bowsers final I imagine.
:nale: Yikyik, Zz'dtri , Pompey, and the rest of the non-permanent Linear guild appears. Nale does not have to anything while they attack his enemies. The smash ends when they are defeated.
:thog: ICE CREAM! Thog is lost in dreaming about ice cream and puppies. Ice cream falls from the sky imprisoning anyone it hits in an icecube for thog to finish off. Then puppies randomly appear. Anyone near them are instantly charmed and can't move
:sabine: Like Samus except a huge fire blast. After that is done she turns into zero-fiend sabine. The next time she gets the smash ball she turns back into fiend form

:xykon: Touch of death. Anyone who comes into contact with Xykon dies. Also he can fly.
:redcloak: Ultra Disintegration: Red Cloak moves to the far left till he is out of sight and a big green blast comes zapping all enemies.

:mitd: Although I doubt he'd be in the game due to obvious reasons if he was his special would be his powers or his ground stomp
:roach: The roaches get much much bigger and there become 10 times more of them. They run around attacking.

:miko: She becomes a fallen paladin. A huge blast comes from the sky and hurts everyone above miko. Then she asks for forgiveness, and a blue orb forms around her getting bigger and bigger hurting everyone around her.

Other characters: O-Chul, Hinjo, Lien, Celia, Dorukon, Right-Eye, Soon

A well balanced final smash only can cause one KO per enemy. no more-no less

What is this "balanced final smash" of which you speak? I have never seen nor heard of such a thing. I mean, compare Sonic or Marth's with Mario's or DK's. They're... not very equal.

So basically Sonic's final smash?

Or pikachu's... but hey, this is all theoretical anyways. Doesn't matter if suggestions repeat.
