If you ready an action to use G. Manyshot against a spellcaster when the caster starts casting, and you pepper the caster with 2 arrows, does the caster make one concentration check for the total damage or does he make 2 concentration checks (one for each arrow's damage)?

If the latter, then would the answer change if it was a Manyshot readied instead, since there is only one attack roll?

Manyshot is assumed to shoot and hit target at the same time, which is the basic concept of the feat in the first place. Therefor the spellcaster in question would be struck by the arrows at the same time, taking X amount of damage. They would then have to make a concentration check for the total damage.

If we were talking about Rapid Shot... then we would have to refrence the need for concentration checks when taking damage from multiple sources.

If you use Manyshot against a target with damage reduction effective against your ammunition, do you subtract from damage once or twice? Twice, obviously. Just because only one attack roll is involved doesn't mean that damage isn't dealt twice.

So in either of your cases, the caster would make one concentration check for each arrow. (Not that I don't think this is broken, but whatever.)
