has anyone other than me been seeing ads on the internet for a company called clear? i know that they are only in portland, OR at this time, but might be expanding. is it just people who live in portland, like me, who are getting these ads?

You mean Clearwire? They are up in Seattle too. Its a satalite based ISP. I guess its good depending on what you are interested in. If you are a casual web brouser, its probably ok. If you are an online gamer, it not gonna handle the bandwidth that you are probably looking for.

wait... i think that clear is a subsection of clearwire. they use relatively the same design for their websites.

we have Clear here in Vegas. They just recently came down here. Some sort of internet provider or some such.

I've been seeing their ads everywhere. I happen to live outside of Portland. What it is a large wifi network that's set up all over the city.
