598 because of the kickass headstone.

600 by a landslide. Drama-free, and Horace makes a great straight man.

Plus, mom-balaya!

598. 593 aka "Alas Poor Therkla" got blitzed by 595, so this is a makeup call.

Toss up between 600 and 598 ... But I'd have to say 598

596, for the illusory Belkar.

Kurald Galain

597 is a distraction! Remove the 597, which is you! Remove 597 with haste!

Prowl

600, for the big ol' middle finger it gave to those who were rabidly anticipating a dramatic climax just because it was a number with two zeros at the end.

600, with 596 in a close second

598.

She would have made a pretty cool girlfriend, too.

Thrax

596, although I was thinking about 597 or 598. Eventually, "what is a kubota" won.

598, without doubt.

I'd like to vote for both 596 and 597, they are very similar :smallwink:

OK, 597.

We have a number of great moments here. There is "What is a kubota", "XP for defeating Therkla", "kickass headstone" and "dire half-dragon bone-eating saltwater werepiranhhas". I laughed the biggest at 599, but by overall 596 is the best.

598 because of the kickass headstone.

600. Disrupting the spellcasting ability of a dummy. Not to mention the lampshade of a joke being done already.

Pronounceable
2009-08-18, 04:15 PM
98. Not for Therkla (whom I didn't like all that much) or the awesome tombstone (it's indeed awesome), but for I'm not a hero, I just play one in a comic strip.

Puns de León

"Enforced by honor system."

Too much drama in the other ones. Elan really laid it on thick in this sequence, didn't he?

I'm going with 596.

When I first read it when it came out, I was kind of fearful for V at the time. But now that I know what happened in the end, I just can't stop laughing.

600, really, everyone expected whatever but this one at that moment :P

Kaytara
2009-08-19, 08:37 AM
597, because of the dialogue. And the way it showcased both how emotionally distraught Elan was over Therkla and just how bad V's mental state was becoming.

sam79

598 for reasons obvious and already mentioned; though the line "that moustache did not do him any favour either" had me wavering for a second.

It appears that I'm back from my holidays just in time to submit my vote...
I vote for 598; the kickass headstone is totally worth it, and beats even the sarcastic Elan in 596... great strips for our favourite bard!

I really enjoyed Elan's monologue. I found it very well-written and interesting for his character.
