To all others: It is considered bad form to use an avatar without asking permission of the artist. Unless, of course, you have it specifically made for you. Please ask before you use any of the avatars in the portfolios of the artists unless it states in their requisites or on their portfolio site that you may use the avatar without asking permission.

If after you've posted your request to the request thread twice and there is no response, please PM one of the active artists below. (Do not repost your request until at least 48 hours after your original request, please.)

If you are PMing a request please do not PM multiple artists. They don't want to waste their time doing a favour for you if you've already got someone else doing the exact same thing.

A slight suggestion: to save loading time to make a post, please make a link to your picture after 3 days to make it easier on dial-up.

I have a request, it's pretty demanding, and it's not an avatar, it's a sig.

The sig is a battle-scene, on one side there an army of regular soldiers/a party of adventurers (who seem to be scared). And on the other side is a single necromancer with her undead army (feel free to size that army to make it terrifying, I'd say minimum is about 5-10).

Unfortunately, this avatar just isn't feeling right. I have an idea for a delicious breakfast-atar. Two sunny-side-up fried eggs for eyes and a bacon mouth. I think it would be fun to have it on a pan looking :smallannoyed: at being in a pan. I have a request, it's pretty demanding, and it's not an avatar, it's a sig.

The sig is a battle-scene, on one side there an army of regular soldiers/a party of adventurers (who seem to be scared). And on the other side is a single necromancer with her undead army (feel free to size that army to make it terrifying, I'd say minimum is about 5-10).

Unfortunately, this avatar just isn't feeling right. I have an idea for a delicious breakfast-atar. Two sunny-side-up fried eggs for eyes and a bacon mouth. I think it would be fun to have it on a pan looking :smallannoyed: at being in a pan. Bacon could work for the eyebrow as well, or something else that the incredibly kind and loving artist thought of.

I have a request, it's pretty demanding, and it's not an avatar, it's a sig.

The sig is a battle-scene, on one side there an army of regular soldiers/a party of adventurers (who seem to be scared). And on the other side is a single necromancer with her undead army (feel free to size that army to make it terrifying, I'd say minimum is about 5-10).
Here's a reference pic for the necromancer:

i've had several avatars over the few months i've been on the forum, but none have really fit. so, i was wondering if someone could make me a new one, specifically of mr. scruffy sitting by belkar and holding a dead human head in his mouth. mr. scruffy should have his same, usual indifferent look, whereas belkar should be holding his hands in the air with an open mouthed smile, similar to the one in OOTS #439, in the last panel. i do give credit to the creator in my sig, but PLEASE GIVE DIMENSIONS. also, pm me when it is finished.

That sounds kinda hard... But I'm willing to give it a shot. It will take a couple of days, most likely, as I'll need to dig up the only OotS strip with a tiger in it (Oh, actually, that was easy to find (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0407.html)).

So, you basically want a humanoid-ish white tiger (with a tail and a tiger face, but a humanoid body?) wearing a blindfold and holding a set of tipped scales? I assume you want this avatar male? Also, will there be anything on the set of scales, or are they just mysteriously tipped? And you said the rest is up to me... Cool stuff. Yeah, just get back to me on that and I'll do my utmost to get a draft done within the next two days!

Posting another request (separate from my last one in this thread) because the guy who was originally working on it seems to have dropped of the face of the Arts and Crafts map.


Wondering if anyone could do an avatar of my first D&D character, a human duskblade (that's him as my current avatar), but how I imagine him looking at the end of the campaign he's in (the current avatar is how he looked at level 1).

Main things I'm wanting:
1. Mithral Full-plate armour
2. A heavily enchanted greatsword (I don't care what the enchantments are; the only one I know he'd have by then is a "Bane, (dragon)" one, which I don't think can really be shown in an avatar)
3. His off-hand flaring with magic (to show that he's a duskblade)
4. A full 10 levels in Dragon Disciple, with silver as the dragon type; so claws, sharp teeth, silver scales and wings
5. A confidant, relaxed pose, with the same grin my current avatar's got. Possibly with the sword leaning on his right shoulder

Short sword/knife on his belt on the left (if it fits around other things).
I'd like him posed with sword over his right shoulder, helmet held under his left arm, looking to the left.
Skin colour: the usual OotS pale skin.
Hair should be dark brown/black and short.

Wondering if anyone could do an avatar of my first D&D character, a human duskblade (that's him as my current avatar), but how I imagine him looking at the end of the campaign he's in (the current avatar is how he looked at level 1).

Main things I'm wanting:
1. Mithral Full-plate armour
2. A heavily enchanted greatsword (I don't care what the enchantments are; the only one I know he'd have by then is a "Bane, (dragon)" one, which I don't think can really be shown in an avatar)
3. His off-hand flaring with magic (to show that he's a duskblade)
4. A full 10 levels in Dragon Disciple, with silver as the dragon type; so claws, sharp teeth, silver scales and wings
5. A confidant, relaxed pose, with the same grin my current avatar's got. Possibly with the sword leaning on his right shoulder

Alright playgroundlings, I come bearing a new request. For those of you who have heard of or read the "Cirque Du Freak" fictional series by darren shan, I would like an OoTS style avatar of Larten Creepsly.

For those of you who DON'T know the series, I have a vague description.

- Tall and thin (around 7ft or so)
- Extremly pale skin
-small crop of orange hair at the top of his head (clown esque)
-Black eyes
- Large scar running down his left cheek, making his smile seem to stretch on to the left.
- Red clothing ( doesent specify exactly, I always assumed dirty, tattered formal wear)

And a rather large spider sittng on his shoulders, chest, arm, or what have you. (madam octa for those of you who know)

- Very large ( about the size of a baseball)
- Tarantula
-Green, Purple, and Red color scheme ( be creative, but not too flamboyant)

I think he looks pretty awsome as he is, but if you want hair, just say.

Looks cool, but there's a few things that strike me as off. This is all compared to my mental image of him, keep in mind. Also, I don't know if deviant art or the program you used messed with the colours or not.
1) It seems too blue rather than silver; I always pictured mithral as having a silvery sheen and Erik himself is supposed to be a silver half-dragon by that stage, so the blue kind of seems wrong.
2) His eyes; the left one is supposed to be bright green.
3) The sword seems a bit over-the-top (not that that's a bad thing; look at Advent Children), I always pictured it as being about the same size as Roy's sword.
4) The wing shape seems more like what you'd use for feathery wings, not leathery dragon ones.
5) Definitely add the hair (should've put this first but forgot). He looks like a completely different person when bald.

I know that seems like a lot of criticism (especially after reading the description you added to the pic on deviant art), but it just struck me as being a totally different character, rather than a later version of my current avatar.

Also, wouldn't the forum code squash the picture at those dimensions?

EDIT: Almost forgot; would a cloak work with the look, or would the wings just get in the way of it?

Alright playgroundlings, I come bearing a new request. For those of you who have heard of or read the "Cirque Du Freak" fictional series by darren shan, I would like an OoTS style avatar of Larten Creepsly.

For those of you who DON'T know the series, I have a vague description.

- Tall and thin (around 7ft or so)
- Extremly pale skin
-small crop of orange hair at the top of his head (clown esque)
-Black eyes
- Large scar running down his left cheek, making his smile seem to stretch on to the left.
- Red clothing ( doesent specify exactly, I always assumed dirty, tattered formal wear)

And a rather large spider sittng on his shoulders, chest, arm, or what have you. (madam octa for those of you who know)

- Very large ( about the size of a baseball)
- Tarantula
-Green, Purple, and Red color scheme ( be creative, but not too flamboyant)

I'm new to the playground and want a cool avatar. I would like an Archer in a black hood and cape. He should also have black leather armor and a black bow and arrows. It would be awesome if he were wearing a white and black kitsune mask and aiming an arrow forward as if about to shoot out of the computer monitor.

If no-one else wants to try this, I'll take a shot at it. The black on black on black makes it pretty hard to see, though. I've done three different variations (large and small versions of each). If you like one of them, let me know if there are any improvements I can make. Thanks.

That's supposed to be his skin poking out underneath the mask and through the eyeholes (Black eyeholes looked just like regular old eyes). I thought of tying the mask on, but to tie it under the hood wouldn't show, and to tie it over the hood would just be ridiculous.

I'm not sure.
As you can see, even though I'm an avatarist, I have a ready made avatar. This is because I can't work out how to change it.
I've tried, but when I enter the URL in Options, it says it's not compatable.

Looks cool, but there's a few things that strike me as off. This is all compared to my mental image of him, keep in mind. Also, I don't know if deviant art or the program you used messed with the colours or not.
1) It seems too blue rather than silver; I always pictured mithral as having a silvery sheen and Erik himself is supposed to be a silver half-dragon by that stage, so the blue kind of seems wrong.
2) His eyes; the left one is supposed to be bright green.
3) The sword seems a bit over-the-top (not that that's a bad thing; look at Advent Children), I always pictured it as being about the same size as Roy's sword.
4) The wing shape seems more like what you'd use for feathery wings, not leathery dragon ones.
5) Definitely add the hair (should've put this first but forgot). He looks like a completely different person when bald.

I know that seems like a lot of criticism (especially after reading the description you added to the pic on deviant art), but it just struck me as being a totally different character, rather than a later version of my current avatar.

Also, wouldn't the forum code squash the picture at those dimensions?

EDIT: Almost forgot; would a cloak work with the look, or would the wings just get in the way of it?

Mithral is, an in every mention of it I have heard, blue. So I've made his magic blue/silver gradient. Blue is a very strong colour, so although it seems dominate the wings are mostly silver. But I'll tone down the blue and add more silver.
I will add hair, and redo the wings. A cloak will simply not work. I'll give it a go, but he probably will not have in the final version.
