I was reading a post thingy about hair motifs and thingys. How hair (facial, or otherwise) has somehow been involved in the plot largely. Well- not largely- more has had some scope of plot importance.
And it got me thinking about the recurring-... things that I'd noticed. Members of the Order saving their family members Roy, V, Haley- heck, even Elan saved his brother from some form of doom. Then there's things like alternate universes being mentioned and other weird things that pop up a couple of times. I'm not talking about running jokes, like explosive runes or anything like that, but things that you've just noticed have happened, or just referred to. I'm just curious if anyone else have spotted them.
Another interesting one is speaking. Four members of the Order so far have had moments where they could not fully, or even partially, commune with other people. Ghost Roy, Lizard V and, of course, Haley. The fourth person was Durkon in On the Origin of PCs, where his accent made him near-impossible to understand.
So, anyone other than me, Mr Tribble (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120551) and Elan (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0471.html), notice any recurring wotsits in oots so far?
