picture converters on Ubuntu

I need a picture converter for ubuntu. I want to convert my pictures to a different type so that they show up on my sansa. currently the Pictures are PNG files and I need them converted to JPG or something else a sansa fuze supports.

I'm on Ubuntu 8.10 just FYI

You can just open the picture in GIMP and then save it as a jpeg.

Theres also a program called ImageMagick that'll do it.

There's a utility (http://amath.colorado.edu/computing/software/man/convert.html) specifically for this.
