Not long later, you are confronted by 2 medium fire elementals.

The elementals did drop 12 gold pieces, and there's a ring on the ground. If you use detect magic, spellcraft check dc 16 to determine the magical aura.

I'll continue in that case. (Now that I think about it, wasn't my plan after leaving town to attempt to lure those monsters to the town the Dark Kobolds were inhabiting?)

nothing happens much, except you'll notice the area seems to get progressively...colder as you go further.

A few hours of walking, in the evening, you'll see a small white dragon eating some sort of animal by the side of the road.

(Can I hide from it? I hardly have any HPs left and I can't heal myself until tomorrow in gametime.)

I thought you were a different dragon. Did you kill a guard in the town while trying to steal from a butcher's shop?

Aww how did you know? Fine. I was hungry and I sneaked into the town to get food. Some guy wearing metal found me and tried to kill me with a really loud sword. I spit coldness on him to make him go away and he didn't get up. I didn't mean to kill him, honest!

I see. Because of that, the guards want to have you chained up until your mother comes back now. Unfortunately, I'm counting on you to actually free her if I get destroyed, which would mean you'd end up being imprisoned forever if you were caught.

I wasn't going to. On the other hand, there is a good chance that someone else will try to capture you.

Xavig looks pretty frightened. W-what are you going to do now?

I'm not honestly sure. I need to try to lure the creatures attacking the city to where the Dark Kobolds are, once I've managed to heal myself, which will take a couple of days.

I just wanna know what's gonna happen. If I go get captured, mom will be very mad, especially if the horde gets stolen.

I know. I did suggest getting your mother to try to revive the dead guard being as she's worshiped as a god but I'm not sure if the guards I spoke to really liked the idea of trying that.

Xavig suddenly focuses in bedwilderment and awe. Mom is a god?

Kind of. A load of people are worshiping her, but I'm not sure if she has enough followers to get divine powers. If she does, she could possibly revive people.

Cool! Maybe if I get enough people worshipping me I can become a god too!

Possibly. Either way, you're in big trouble with the people who live in that city, so I strongly recommend staying away from everyone else apart from me or your mother.

It's a giant empty room. The best place to hide is the corner adjacent to the door.

Due to the location of the fort entrance, its rather tricky to tell wether or not its sunrise, but you do learn that it comes up eventually.

Uhmm....okay. Xavig will fly up to the ceiling.
And there is a raised platform that faces the hallway that you can stand on.

I'll stand on it. Whispering to Zavig when he comes up. It could be the guards.......I think staying out of their way and letting your mother sort out any problems with stollen money when she gets back would be the best idea; if you kill anymore of them off, they'll only get stronger people to come along and they may not be content with just locking you up.

After a bit, if you look down you'll see several people below you. Talking about asking where the dragon is. Some are seen taking stuff from the hoard. Oh no, they're stealing the hoard!

Sadly, there isn't much we can do about that, unless you want to get killed or captured.

You notice that Xavig is crying, but he's trying to do it silently.

After about 5 minutes, and after the hoard is pretty much all taken (they must have had a few bags of holding or something to carry a pile that big) you're pretty sure they're gone.

You can still hear Xavig crying as you're leaving.

As you leave the ruin, you'll see the group just outside, seeming to be discussing what happened. One of them sees you exit.

I was thinking of serving it up at a barbeque, but Paul wants to capture it alive so the mother wont be gunning for our heads when it learns its baby got killed by us.

Well you're not covered in blood or heavily damaged in any way so I can assume you weren't as successful as us. At least we found a friggin' fortune!

its a long distance away. And it either can't hear you due to distance or its ignoring you. You also get the feeling that's not what he's talking about. You also remember that 'hover' is a figure of speech meaning something is close to something else, but isn't too close.

Your search after several hours sends you into the woods. You see a massive clearing of trees that seems to have been made by something...massive. Listen check.

The problem is that the DKs are also pretty much kidnapping anyone who tries to get through the city, so something needs to be done about them quickly to prevent more torturing.

According to the Tarrasque in question, he protects this city from monsters. I really need someone to scan his alignment while finding out what he'd do with the ring before he gets one, though.

The problem is that I need to find someone who can help to get rid of the DKs as soon as possible; delaying it will just result in more death and torturing.

Hm, yeah, I see how that's a problem. But we don't really use much magic in these parts. You might wanna try the Sheridian capital ruins though, or a salvager camp. They'll probably help ya.

2 minutes of going up sends you up very high into the sky, hey you think you can see the DK's city from here! But you also know that you don't want your spell to expire whilst this high.
