It seems to me that there are all kinds of people here, some of whom like you, some of whom don't, some of whom don't know you. Who knows? Maybe your future spouse is here. Or your murderer.

They might even be the same person. I suspect *my* wife has been known to contemplate violent death for yours truly ... but I wiggle out of it with careful deployment of puppy eyes, roses, and sweet talk.

In any case, given such a wide variety of people ... well, it's your choice. If I were in your shoes I would be a little bit more selective both in the gift of my friendship and the curse of my hatred. I suspect 95% of the people viewing this thread are deserving of neither.

I wish you well in your quest to find worthy friends, however.
