Sets of magic items that belong together and grant more benefits the more you have. Has anyone ever tried making them? Or do they already exist?
I've seen a few. I think there are some in the Gaming section here.

I actually have an Epic set that is supposed to allow a single 20th level monk to be a convincing final encounter before the party hits 21st level... I really ought to post it some time...

They actually have quite a few in the Magic Item Compendium.

Yes. My personal favorite is Regalia of the Pheonix....as you can imagine the powers have to do with fire and resurrection.

I like the sash set. I forget the name offhand but once you get them all you are immune to all the types of prismatic effects.
Nothing says hello like a monk walking through the prismatic sphere to get your pale wizard butt.

Aside from the Magic Item Compendium, there's the Hand/Eye of Vecna, and the Regalia of Evil from the Forgotten Realms :smallamused:

The caustic veil, from the sash set, is kinda awesome for wizards at low levels. affordable, and adds a pile of damage to your acid splash.
