You jest... but remember, the whole Stickverse is basically made out of string. It's the fundamental building material of the gods themselves.

Imagine if Banjo got his hands on it.

moar liek trezur tIp oh amirite lulz (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0408.html)

On a more serious note, it seems that the forums are eagerly swallowing the newest bit of humor from our beloved stick-comic. Here's hoping the humor continues.

Aren't Banjo's hands on the strings whenever he plays?

Mr. Scruffy is rapidly becoming my favorite OOTS member. Here's hoping he gets all the combat benefits of being Belkar's (presumed) animal companion. The possibilities for humorous fight scenes abound.

I'm still holding out for one of those awesome rocks that Haley found.

It could be if it's also Type G.

There were only 5, even Haley did'nt get any of those rocks, she had to settle for gold instead.

Actually I was thinking it could be involved in Treasure Type O.... under certain circumstances :-)

Not sure what the exact rules on animal companions are, but since we did see Mr Scruffy 'fighting' alongside Belkar already, and he even followed the order to get the caster, I think it's safe to assume that Scruffy and Belkar are from now on a deadly combat team :smallamused:

Also, string is one of the most handy things an adventurer can have. After all, you can make towels out of string.

And of course, adventurers should know where their towels are.

Isn't string just Rope (Tiny)? The DM is sizing the loot to gear up the new member of the team (Scruffy).

Hmmm, messages need to be at least 10 characters on this forum. I was planning just to post "42", but it wouldn't let me..... and spaces on the end of a message don't work. Kind of ruins the impact. Never mind.. I've learnt something.

The secret is, naturally, to put white text before/after/what-have-you in your post to create the illusion of posting only a few words.

Yar. Thar be secrets here.

EDIT: Ninja'd, but I at least explained it.

When I read the title, I expected at least some joke about the super string theory. Especially in addition to the snarl you could have explained the entire universe with that... meh, I'm disappointed now... ;)

So, basically you want an Oots/xkcd crossover thread?

Hopefully, that it's not necessary to shout "42" every single time someone makes a passing reference to Hitchhikers' Guide? :smalltongue:

Well, there are lots of other fun things in the story. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go drink a Pan Galactic Gargleblaster before going to my job at UPS.

Er. I mean, yes one could make such a case. But it would be a silly one.
