WARNING: Players of Soul Reavers of Gathering of Souls, GO AWAY! Bad player, BAD!

In the history for this setting (homebrew setting, kind of like the 3.5 Great Wheel thingy) there was a warrior-hero, name now unknown. He started from a simple farm life and rose to prominence fighting great powers of darkness and evil. The classic farmboy to hero story. He might have become a legendary champion of good if it hadn't been the incident involving his companion, Katherine.

Katherine was a young girl from the hero's hometown and when he left to travel the world she went with him. Time after time of being rescued by the hero, him putting himself in danger to save her life, had two effects. One, it brought them closer than ever and thrust them into an adventurous romance. Two, it made her feel completely useless.

During an especially horrific adventure, the young hero fought against otherwordly creatures from a place known to mortals as the Far Realms. As he battled against the psychotic cult leader that had been terrorizing the local towns, Katherine hid behind the madman's desk. Slowly, it became obvious that the hero would not be able to defeat this fell power, and Katherine felt it necessary to do something, anything, to save him. In a moment of desperation, she looked into a small vortex to the Far Realms and let the power of primordial madness flow into her.

With the power of the far realms flowing through her (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122103), Katherine helped her friend deal the final blow to the cult leader and the two of them left the madness-infused place. He tried to convince her to leave the power behind, but it's lure was too great. If she could manage her own sanity, she could use the power to no longer be helpless, to be a real asset to her lover. And so she used the forbidden magic of xenotheurgy, not with abandon but with endless caution, tapping its power only when her farmboy hero truly needed her help.

As the pair grew in power, the heavens took notice, both of the hero and the abomination that followed him. Though she used her powers for good, ever link to the Far Realm brings the multiverse closer to final destruction at the hands of the Great Old Ones. No matter how noble the cause, the celestials could not allow a walking source to the Far Realms to wander the world causing incursions. Other heroes would have to take her place.

When the angels came, Katherine and her hero greeted them openly, expecting some sort of praise or a new mission to help in the fight against evil. The servants of Zaphkiel, the Ruler of the Seven Mounting Heavens of Celestia, explained calmly the situation. The young man was a true hero, as was his girlfriend, but her connection to the Far Realms brought the planes closer to destruction every day. Katherine came to realize, truly, what she had done and accepted her fate, but her lover did not. He tried to fight against the angels, but was easily subdued. When they realized they could not drive him unconscious, they bound him while they executed Katherine, and left him there after an apology.

Left in the mortal coil, his faith in the heavens shattered and his love torn from him, the young man's hate festered over the years as he searched for more and more power to use to gain his revenge. He crafted a weapon, a halberd he dubbed Endbringer, by making sacrifices to the gods of vengeance, hatred and war. When the angels returned to destroy him for what he allowed himself to become, he butchered them with his evil weapon and channeled their souls through the blade, twisting their magical essence before consuming it along with demonic power he had been amassing. In his grand ritual, he turned himself into a demon so as to better fight against the heavens.

As a fiend, he named himself Darlekth. He found war to his liking, and became adept at manipulating the fabric of dreams. As time went on, he fell deeper and deeper into his own darkness, killing his own humanity so he could forget his pain. In his quest for power, he became a demon of war, hatred and lies. To avenge Katherine's death, he destroyed everything she ever held dear.

FINISHED (for now)
This guy is gestalt. Most important characters (like the PCs) in this game are. Darlekth is the BBEG, basically manipulating events across the multiverse both through careful control of dreams and by going around being a magnificent bastard (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagnificentBastard) with the goal of setting the entire multiverse at war. Good vs. Evil, Law vs. Chaos, all outsiders trying to gain influence over the mortal realm and the Mortals vs. Everyone. In the process he is trying to get the Archangels and the Lord of the Nine killed, as well as the demon princes Graz'zt, Orcus and Demogorgon. Most of the player characters are trying to stop him, although he has all but one convinced none of this is his fault, and one of them thinks he is a wonderful person and is trying to help him any way she can.

I will post a more detailed version of his plans later, along with his stats.

Race: Half-fiend demon lord (dicefreaks template) human
Classes: Ranger, sorcerer, Soul Eater, mainly.
Abilities: Dream magic, various arcane effects, telekinesis, social manipulation, brutal melee combat.

Change the name. Nobody wants to be confused with a crazy plumber robot.
The part where 'Angel, you will pay for this!!!' changed to 'kill both good and evil' is unclear. Okay he hates angels but whats the deal with killing demons. It seems more like he kills them en route , no hard feelings involveld.

Can he be redeemed or is he just the endboss?

Crazy plumber robot? Wha???

I'll add what's happened since he became a demon later, he ends up mad at everybody except the mortals. And, he -can- be redeemed, or he could be an endboss.
