I've found myself remembering this one recently and I'm curious to see if anyone else here watched it. I watched it on DVD when I was about 13 or 14, after reading the original books, and loved it.
For anyone who doesn't know, the show is set in present-day 1999 in Roswell, NM. The main character, Liz Parker, is shot by a customer in the cafe she works at, and she is healed by her lab partner, Max, an alien-human hybrid from the Roswell crash. Max's sister and best friend, also hybrids, are afraid that Max has exposed them, but Liz and her friends keep the secret and help the aliens figure out their heritage and such.
It lasted two seasons on the WB and then moved to UPN (the last season is pretty crappy as a result). But it was a good show, if a little corny sometimes, and it was pretty funny and dramatic by turns. If anyone wants a little soapy sci-fi guilty pleasure, this is a good one.
