View Full Version : Would you undo the pie, or the cake?

If you could go back in time and completely undo the creation of one of two culinary delights -pie or cake - completely preventing their creation for the rest of eternity, which would you pick and why?

I choose the cake. It is an unnatural abomination of frostings and fluffy goodness. The pie is OBVIOUSLY the better of the two, as it consists of more yummy fruitness and crusty num-nums.

Discuss.

Cake, so we can remove the grating, awful, overused, idiotic "the cake is a lie" meme from existence. It stopped being funny 48 hours after Portal came out.
However, it also means Lex Luthor doesn't take 40 of them. And that's terrible.

Would Lex Luthor stealing 40 pies be somehow less good?

Following the trend is bad.

I also think the mods look down on it, if the "Was X's Action Against Y under Circumstance Z Morally Justified" threads in the OotS section are any indication.

Oh...I'm sorry if my non-offensive topic didn't somehow choose to question the validity of life or whether screaming babies should be allowed to continue screaming if their mothers don't do anything to stop them. Maybe I should recreate, and start one of those threads?

Forgive my attempt at having a little fun. I'm going to go find a corner to cry in now. /sob

I'd undo the pie, since the cake is clearly superior in every way - the pie's crust is disgusting and anathema to our free society. A communist ploy.

EDIT: Gan, ever heard of a fella named Canadian? :smalltongue:

That picture, sir, says VOLUMES. And no, I have not heard of Canadian.

I am very disturbed by your implication that the pie is communist and the cake is not. I offer up as evidence to the contrary, one of the most popular cakes of all time:

RED Velvet Cake.

Your response sir?

I am humbled, and no longer can live in disgrace.

Definitely get rid of cake, pies are too versatile.

I don't eat pie, so I'd get rid of that, if I had to. But, I admire it's many uses, such as being thrown at peoples faces, and... uh... Ooh, that song, American Pie. And, um... that movie, with the same name. And, uh...

...Yeah, get rid of it. American Cake would be even better.

The real question of course is whether eating a pie AND a cake is a morally just thing to do...

I had some AMAZING cherry pie yesterday. Does that answer your question?

Undo cake, considering I'm a pieomancer. :smalltongue:

I like pie.

If the cake never existed, then it would be a lie.

Cake, no question about it.

I'd undo the cake. definitely.

I would undo only the fruitcake. For the most part no one would miss it anyway. :smallamused:

I would undo pie...only to recreate it myself and grab the patent on that sucker.

Your brilliance astounds me, good sir.
