I decided to write up mental powers I see used all the time in fantasy and sci-fi fiction:

Infodump
Enchantment [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Brd 1, Sor/Wiz 1, Cleric 1
Components: S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: One humanoid creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: No

The caster instantly loads a vast amount of information into the subject's mind, either as a sudden rush of knowledge and/or as an audio-visual sensory experience that can appear to be several subjective minutes long. The Infodump doesn't grant the caster any control over the subject's mind, and the subject receives Sense Motive checks to detect any falsehoods. Though there is no fixed limit on how much knowledge the caster can transfer, the subject cannot gain ranks in skills this way unless they have spare points to spend.

See Dreams
Enchantment [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Brd 0, Sor/Wiz 0, Cleric 0
Components: S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: One humanoid creature
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: No

By lightly touching a sleeper's brow you gain a glimpse of their current dream. This does not provide any context or understanding, merely a chance to see and hear what they are imagining. The spell ends if you lose physical contact or if the person wakes up. Unless the person is comfortable with your touch, instinctively assumes you are someone else, or was made unconscious through something like alcohol, touching them is likely to wake them up after one round.

Both good ideas.

Surprised you didn't make the second one level 1. It would also require a ruling on the chances of the Sleep spell inducing REM. Duration is a bit short (even if dreams tend to include "jump cuts" IIRC)... might make it Glimpse Dreams and then make a 3rd level (approximately) one with the current name that does 1 minute/level.

Knowing the Trope, Info Dump should have a slightly higher range. Close, maybe a single target, but still only as far as the voice needs to travel.
