Simple as that, what game(s) (tabletop, face to face, not online) are you playing right now? Are you player or GM?

What did you play before that?

What is next on the roster?

D&D 3.5, GM. Most likely will be a GM for the foreseeable future until my players feel like running games themselves.

My currents games are:

as GM:
D&D 4, in a setting developped years and years ago in a French RPG magazine (Paragon Tier, started at level 11, characters currently level 14)
GURPS 4: Sword & Sorcery (think Melniboné and Young Kingdoms)

as Player:
Barbarian of Lemuria: in the Conan setting
GURPS 4: Rapiers, Voodoo and Pieces of Eight (Swashbuckling in the Carribeans, with spirits and ritual magic present in the setting)
Weapons of the Gods: Saint Seiya setting

Before that, I GMed and played some Qin, INS/MV (angels and demons in the modern world, parodical and satiristic French game) and Warhammer FRPG

Next year, a friend of mine will start a campaign of Dragon Warriors and I will GM a few independant sessions of HARP

I'm playing two 3.5 D&D games. One I'm DMing and is in person, the other I'm a player and is online.

I'm playing in two 3.5 games, and I'm probably going to run a brief one later, for a bunch of my friends who are either wanting to try it, or dying to play again.

Previous:
Star Wars Saga. Player

Current:
DnD 3.5, Ptolus setting. Player

Next:
Depends what campaigns are starting up at that time. Will probably be trying to play 3.5 or WoD. Might end up 4E if nothing else is in the club.

I'm running a tabletop Shadowrun 4 game and playing in a D&D 3.5 game (at least in theory. We haven't been able to get together for that one in two months).

I'm also playing in a couple PBP games - D&D 3.5 and Werewolf.

I'm DMing a 3.0 D&D game. My players, however, are playing a 3.5 game. They seem to want 9 million PRCs, so, meh, whatever. I don't need them to make interesting NPCs.

I've also home-brewed a campaign setting with one small but radical rules change.

DMing a DnD 3.5-ish campaign

Playing a Scum in dark heresy (though we've only played once so far, and tat was a few weeks ago, so I don't know if the DM will be able to keep it going. He usually fails at keeping his games alive.)

Right now, nothing. Hopefully I can convince my usual group to (1) stop studying for a while and play and (2) get off D&D 3.5 long enough to try a Mutants and Masterminds game.

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, very irregularly at the moment. Gearing up for play testing of Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerers of Hyperborea in the near future.

Finally getting to play after a long time, but now am playing Cleric of Tyr 4/Ordained Champion 5/Fist of Raziel 3. :smallcool:

Though... I might ask my new DM if I can take only 3 levels of Ordained Champion. As it turns out, not being able to channel cure spells puts some serious pressure on my spell list.

Was playing:

- Lorendai "Lore" Quelaevin - Eladrin Wizard (D&D 4e)
. * Personality: Very smart, often accidentally condescending
. * Interesting moment: In an auction for his grandfather's house, he multiplied his opponent's bid be 1000gp with Ghost Sound. The guy was forced to forfeit.
. * Retirement: After a quest for to check on a guy researching ways of defeating undead, and defeating his now-undead self, Lore decided to continue his research.

- Moorale - Dwarven Fighter (D&D 4e)
. * Personality: Motivated by his next drink, very unkempt. More of a drunk than most dwarves
. * Interesting moment: He was dominated by some red mist and crit on his cousin, the party's cleric, for most of his hp. The cleric got to higher group, but still being under the effect of the mist, he bust through a nearby wall (another crit). Then he saved and yelled at the family to get to higher ground.
. * Death: We were in a temporary area, that would disappear in a few hours. We were out of tricks, low of surges, and should've turned back. An otherwise tie vote, the choice was up to the party's Paladin, who flipped a coin. Party wipe by Sahuagin.

-----

Is Playing:

Hank L. Biter (L is for Lucky) - Halfling Rogue (D&D 4e)
. * Personality: A bit reckless. Will risk more for rewards. Greedy, but will put Good before Greed.
. * Interesting moment: He and the party's Dragonborn Fighter each, in unison, leaped off a ledge 20' up, grabbed a gargoyle, smashed it into the ground (transferring half of our own falling damage to the gargoyle), and didn't land prone. Hank took no damage.

Struct - Warforged Artificer (D&D 4e; Same campaign as Moorale)
. * Personality: Failed to protect his previous group of meatlings. He protects this group only to prove that he can. He's also the only lawful good member in the party. He has a familiar he built himself, Relic, the Canine Construct.
. * Interesting moment: Three of his allies were turned to stone before a Medusa was defeated. Her dragon was not yet bloodied. If the paladin also fell, he would've tried to make a deal with the dragon, trading his service as one who is skilled at imbuing items with magical power, in exchange for reversing his failure. His failure being an otherwise complete party wipe. It's not that he cares about the party, it's that he cares about whether or not he fails again.

Fudrik - Half-Minotaur Gnome Fighter 5 (D&D 3.5)
. * History: Raised by his gnomish mother, he never met or heard of his father.
. * This one's an online game.

-----

Will play:

"Nyx" Woodstar - Elven Druid (D&D 4e)
. * Personality: Was an elf for 25 years, then a panther for the next 30. Now, she's more comfortable as a panther than an elf. (In elf form, might roll an occasional d20 to see if she remembers to do something properly, like sipping a cup vs licking it from above)

Zep-Hera - Deva Heritage Multi-Manifestation Genasi Swordlord [Swordmage|Warlord] (D&D 4e)
. * History: She used to be the captain of a merchant ship, but when times got rough she started manifesting firesoul more often. Her crew thought this an actual danger to the ship and kicked her off in a mutiny.
. * Focus: I have her feats picked out up to level 30. After Deva Heritage and Hybrid Talent (Swordmage Warding), the rest are all Genasi racial feats. Elemental Tempest paragon path...
. * This character is joining an online game next week.

Unnamed - Changeling Warlock (D&D 4e)
. * Joining the party: This character is a replacement for another character when they die. They will take the shape of my previous character and try to join as if nothing happened.

Unnamed - Revenant [Class not yet chosen] (D&D4e)
. * Joining the party: This character is a replacement if my Changeling Warlock dies. They would be a revenant of the original character that the warlock replaced.

I also want to play a Gnoll or Kobold at some point, as well as a Monk and a Divine class. I have a spare Gnome Bard in case I ever need to play another Leader.

I also might be DMing a new campaign soon.

Me and my group are currently playing in a Pathfinder campaign. We're a military group getting missions on a regular basis to help with the defenses of our country and an allied country against some Ice Kingdom or something. We're currently level 4.

I also DM a campaign that is unfortunately on hold since I have no more time to prepare myself like I need to. The group is racing against time to find a way to destroy a Lich (a badass one really).

We start our Pathfinder campaign tomorrow. Nuke REALLY, REALLY, really wanted to try it out, so we're having Moose run one of their module campaigns. Personally I'd rather be shot out of a cannon into the sun, but, well, time to take one for the team. Playing a spotted skunk bumbler/freed familiar sorcerer.

Not sure if Nuke or I am on deck. When I do cycle in, I'm probably going to go with a Pokethulthu mini-campaign to get the rest of the group out of their 3.x box. Then, I don't know, maybe Mekton Zeta or 7th Seas for my main campaign. Not sure if I want lasers or not.

To answer my own question, currently playing D&D4e, as a player. Playing a 7th level two-weapon Ranger.

Before that it was FATE/SotC 40k/Throne Agents, I was playing an ex-PDF black ops shooter.

Next is probably going to be a return to WFRP. I'm playing an Outlaw-Veteran who's now mayor of a town. Though it's looking increasingly unlikely that we'll move to 3rd edition, and I'll have to suffer 2nd edition again. :smallfrown:

:smallsigh: I'm here with ya. Having a blast though, this campaign is going really well so far, just had my big dramatic reveal this evening, after their contact turned up slaughtered and they destroyed his killer (a vivisector, love those critters SOO MUCH; my players hate them SOO MUCH :smallwink:).

I'm not sure which game I'm GMing right now, going to have a player vote tomorrow and may have to drop it due to all my other free time being taken up by work and the following games:

3.5 D&D, mid-level; Playing a knight sorcerer whose main goal in life is to get back at the family that basically blackmailed his family out of the nobility. Is not actually the son of said nobleman, but the son of some sorcerer who lives out in the woods.

GURPS: Playing an opportunistic crack-head who's an excellent liar and has a huge variety of skills from his rough life. Currently trying to infiltrate some kind of doomsday cult and do... something (We haven't planned that far).

3.5 D&D, mid-high level: Playing a kobold assassin type who is the reincarnation of a "legendary hero" (our characters from the last game which was in 4e, got shut down due to ridiculous min-maxing on the part of one party member). He's a shadowdancer/fighter/rouge with surprisingly high strength, and his shadow familiar is actually his previous incarnation, who was a complete moron (He ate beds when he was alive and thinks toothbrushes are tiny wagons you put in your mouth. That is but a small sample of his brand of specialness). The game has not started yet but everyone is waiting in anticipation.

The games I was running are:

GURPS: Space Opera game, PCs are on their way to discover why the emperor of a nation has decided to fight in a war it appears they can't win against an alien species.

Burning Wheel: The PCs have answered the king's summons to deal with a troll problem out on the border of the kingdom. However, there seem to be signs of a mounting war with the orcs, who have not invaded in 80 years.

GURPS:(now defunct) The PCs were adventurers in a magic-powered steampunk setting, they had already discovered an amazing book that contained the history of the world's creation, had it stolen and decided to go off on a quest to liberate one party member's home city from a powerful gang. They were just about to get into a "duel" (a ten man brawl) with the leader of the gang, a nobleman who also happens to be a werewolf.

Playing:

One oWoD Mage game.
One 2nd-3rd level Pathfinder game, using an old-school setting ("Castle Greyhawk").
One 4e campaign ("Scales of War", alternating with the Pathfinder game.)
And in PbPs, one 4e, one 3.5, and I'm running a 3.5.

Darwin
2009-09-13, 06:56 AM
Presently

Vampire: The Masquerade (oWoD) - Julian Miros, 19 year old milloinaire and cat-thief. Embraced by a Ravnos woman less than a week ago, now trying to fit in with a group of murderous lunatics calling themselves vampires.

D&D 3.5 - Bakhlunian wizard and royal counselor of the Sultan. Was kicked out of the country after being framed for a crime he did not commit, now he's in Greyhawk, plotting how to have his name cleared.

Future

D&D E6 (3.5 capping at level 6, rewarding a feat for every 5000 xp rather than gaining new levels) - Steelheart, a warforged Incarnate crafted by the gods as an artifact more than a millenia ago. The humans used him as a tool of war, and in a response of anger the gods buried him in the deepest mountain on the continent, where he rested for centuries before he, by accident, was dug out by a clan of dwarves.

PBP: Gming two Dnd 3.5 games. Ones fantasy the other is pseudo-modern-post apocalyptic fantasy.

IRL: Playing a Hero System game. All the players are elite special forces who pilot experimental mecha. Also the world's just been invaded by aliens, who mass drivered any population center over 100,000.

I am currently playing afew games of D&D 3.5 on these boards as a compensation for lack of RL gaming.

DMing a D&D 4e Play-By-Post in my homebrew campaign setting to test out some of the new power sets, feats and monsters. (And obviously to have fun. I love my setting.)

Playing in a few PBPs for WoD and 4e that have stalled.

I've got three characters in PbPs, all D&D4e, although one of them has stalled:

Vel Theryn, Eladrin Laser Cleric of Corellon
Ephram Theryn, Eladrin Shielding Swordmage
Danien Kesar, Human Cunning Bard

The bard, incidentally, is the first human character I've actually played in D&D. All previous D&D characters were some sort of elf.

We haven't met in months, but technically the Shadowrun game I was in is still on, and I've got Elsharen Telsar, elven somethingorother in that. I say 'somethingorother', because he's a 5th wheel character who does a bit of everything but magic and consequently doesn't fit any real archetype.

Used to play:
in a 3.5 D&D group (wouldn't go as far as calling it a campaign), where I played an extremely naive elf sorcerer who nearly got everyone killed on several occasions.

Currently DMing:
3.5 D&D, old group, I just recently switched from player to DM, and things are... shaky. Hopefully, they'll pick up.

Currently playing:
in a 3.5 D&D campaign, three-person party, extremely roleplaying-heavy, generally awesome. I'm a drow bard.

May start playing:
either Shadowrun (would be first time, woo) or 3.5 D&D (in which case I'll probably do crazy halfling sorcerer or barbarian, haven't decided).
