Cecil passes the halls of Baron, the beautiful, sprawling Castle overlooking the city, immaculate white walls, and beautiful artwork adorning the walls.

The castle has done well since he had defeated the arch fiends, and he broke the mind control on Golbez by killing the one known as Zemus. The airships flourished in a air show above, fireworks, and various other celebrations going on.

Today was the day that he had destroyed Zemus, and took over the Barony of... Baron, and the celebrations were glorious indeed in the city below, wonderful dancers, and even a few fire eaters in the streets.

For a instant though.. All of this stops... All flames snuffed out, the airship's almost crashing, but after that instant... Everything resumed.... If you hadn't been in the streets, or in a air ship though... One would not have even noticed. In his pagoda overlooking the city though, Cecil saw it all, and somewhere deep inside. A soft disquiet grew within him.

Cecil Harvey

Cecil is happy, for the first time in a long time, on this day. The endless battles of the recent months had finally run their course, and at long last, there was peace. He had not seen the citizens of Baron this happy in a long time, not since the fiend Cagnazzo had killed the king and stolen his throne. And there were other things to be happy about...a soft smile spreads over his face. This was not Cecil the warrior and paladin, this was Cecil, the kind, gentle man who his friends knew, content with the happiness he saw below him.
A happiness that disappears as the he sees the city in ruins. Even for a second, but...it wasn't right. Something changed, had caused it. Whatever had, it couldn't mean anything good.
"Cecil? Why are you up here? You should be out enjoying yourself!"
Cecil turns. Rosa, his wife and dearest friend, is standing there. Her happy smile vanishes as she sees his face, instantly able to tell that something is wrong. She walks closer to him.
"What is it? What happened?"
Cecil shakes his head slowly, and puts an arm around her shoulders.
"Nothing, I hope. The city seemed to die, for a second. Maybe it was just me."
The doubt remains, though.
