So I snagged the d20 CoC book and the official Chaosium one, and the local gaming group's been pestering me to run a game. I'm not a devout Lovecraft fan, but I've read some of his most prominent stories like The King in Yellow and Rats in the Walls - meanwhile, the rest of my group doesn't know much more about CoC than the general gist they get from it thanks to demotivational posters!

This leaves me with the realization that I can actually run the famous Lovecraftian stories, able to drop my players into the middle of Innsmouth, say, without them having any idea what's going on.

This opportunity is too remarkable to be wasted.

However, before I spend hours upon hours of my life converting the classics a tabletop campaign, I'd like to make sure that someone hasn't already done this! - it seems quite likely. In a perfect world, I want stories where our good friend Nyarlathotep plays a prominent role...but I'm not enough of a Lovecraft fan to narrow it down any better than this.

A quick Google search (http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&safe=off&num=20&q=call+of+cthulhu+rpg+resources&meta=&fp=8f425300faaeb01b) revealed a few dozen 'official sites' for gaming resources, and while I'm browsing through them at great length, I figured I'd tap the best resource I know - you guys.

I'd like to avoid Delta Green.

I'm certainly not too frugal to purchase campaign pdfs from drivethrurpg or independent publishers, if those exist as well. Suggestions and links, please?

Edit: I should probably note that no supplier in my area is able to order the official Chaosium modules, so I'm forced to settle for something I can aquire online.

King in Yellow isn't Lovecraft.

nice job acquiring D20 COC. hope it didn't cost you an arm and a leg.

I unfortunately can't help you beyond that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyarlathotep

This should tell you what you need for the beginning stories.

Digging through my firefox folders I came up with these three links.

I'm not sure if you'll find anything specifically about Innsmouth in these sites, but they contain lots of fun stuff and inspiration for making your players wet themselves.

King in Yellow isn't Lovecraft.
Huh. Did some research on this. Interesting.

So it was written by someone else, then Lovecraft decided to snag it up and the fictional play in The King in Yellow effectively became another piece of literature in the Cthulhu Mythos alongside the Necronomicon.

Still, that makes it part enough of the mythos for me.

Kudaku, thanks for the two links, that's excellent. The yog-sothoth.com downloads were EXACTLY what I was looking for.
