I'm currently running a solo 3.5 DnD campaign for my girlfriend. This is her first time ever playing DnD, so I want to make sure I do it right. We've been playing all summer and a lot has happened in the story so far. But a little while ago, she did 2 rather odd things in succession that I'm not fully sure how the BBEGs would react to. And thus I need help deciding.

Situation: PC had BBEG henchman do a sending to tell BBEG that BBEG's daughter (BBEG 2) that she is going to attack him with an army.
(Advice can be given now, if you don't want to read set up, if this is tl;dr)

Background:
BBEG father is a half dragon, half goliath fighter/sorcerer (haven't stated yet, not sure of PrC) with a lair in the middle of a desert in a mountain/plateau with a huge colony of kobolds within said plateau-mountain. The BBEG is trying to change his half dragon type to either Platinum or Multi-Chromatic (either color of the dragon dieties is fine by him), in hopes that it will give him God-like powers. It should be noted that he has already done something similar! He was born half-blue but now he's half "Templar" dragon (a custom dragon I created for my girlfriend for this campaign). He changed colors using the Rite of Draconic Affinity (found in RotD, p59). On top of all that; most of the kobolds in his command (if not all) are Dragon Wraught Kobolds because of other various techniques the BBEG learned.

BBEG daughter is a draconic human sorceress (mother was human, the dragon part of father made breeding possible; working on stating her now, likely will be pure sorceress. Has wings via feats from RotD). She first appeared as an abusive Pirate Queen that my PC overthrew, this resulted in my PC -reluctantly- becoming the new Pirate Queen. (PC left pirate cave, giving them LOTS of gold/platinum pieces; which thankfully to me, helped balance my early mistakes of giving too much gold; and was excellent RP, as she then wanted the Pirates to stop being evil and create a good, healthy, peaceful town). Additionally, inside the pirate cave, was the egg to the custom dragon that my PC had requested be created for her to journey with the PC's party. (Party then became PC, DMPC love interest, NPC noble that was rescued from pirates and at party ECL 5, egg hatched. Party is now ECL 9)

Second 'appearance' was only by mention, when Sorceress sent assassins after the noble that the PC was escorting back to the city, from the wilderness.

Side Issue (relavant):
The PC then happened to find the second of five of the BBEG father's henchmen and beat him to the point of surrender. At this point, he changed sides to the PC's side and revealed a lot of plot info; like clues that BBEG daughter was related to BBEG father AND thusly that daughter's mother was a head bodyguard to the previously mentioned noble. (The PC was an orphan, and the bodyguard NPC could have been the PC's mother, and thus BBEG father could have been PC's father, but I went with this instead)

Third appearance was when I kicked off the big secondary plot threat. I had the ex-pirates contact the PC and tell the PC that the they were scrying on the daughter and that she had gone to a bandit cave, and was amassing them into an army. (Pirates have a 'scrying orb' on their ship. It helped them find targets before they became good guys). This was on the way back to tell bodyguard/mom that daughter was alive; so it was assumed that this army would attack the metropolis that was the starting city & home to PC and noble (though the 'army' was only about 100 men).

Skip forward, PC gets a small army of low level adventurers to intercept BBEG daughter's army at a small farming village just east of bandit caves (metropolis is south east). PC sets up very well thought out ambush. BBEG daughter arrives leading army, but peacefully walks into town with only generals, leaving bandit army several feet away, out of town limits. PC then blows her cover and the ambush with a large, friendly hello, then approaches BBEG with a smile and explains existence of mother to surprised, unknowing BBEG. (PC wants to reunite mother-daughter, since mother thought daughter was dead with BBEG father kidnapped daughter after booth to do a test experiment on baby to see if Rite of Draconic Affinity worked like it should. It did, and BBEG daughter is draconic brass -BBEG father has captured a brass wyrm, wyrm willingly stays prisoner and feeds BBEG father false info to slow down the evil plans)
ANYWAYS! BBEG daughter, just wanted to buy food from the farming village, not invade it (granted, at a very reduced cost), and then continue on her way; add on top of this BBEG daughter hates PC for stealing her pirates, and the massive battle I planned out, occurs. Dice are in PC's favor, and not only do ALL the bandit warriors get killed with minimal adventurer army lose (2-5), but BBEG daughter gets captured (women and children bandits escape into woods). Upon interrogation BBEG daughter reveals plans to attack father and stop him from ascending further (but not really what she would gain out of stopping him), AND that she will team up with Ogres in the forest north, then sail all the way around the continent to the swamps south of the desert and ally with even more Swamp Ogres before attack the BBEG father's lair. She then teleports and gets away.

PC gets VERY upset that BBEG gets away (she threw a Mountain Troll mini at me, huge size), but then decides to go after BBEG father's 4th henchman (#1 was killed, which lead to the descovery of BBEG's henchmen locations throughout the world, #2 changed sides, #3 was captured in the metropolis). It was known that #4 was in the dwarf city in the mountains, so they go after him. After climbing the mountain, they meet him, he not knowing who the PCs were... though knowing of their existence thanks to a gargoyle that escaped who was helping henchman #3. PC then tells #4 to contact BBEG father that BBEG daughter is going to attack with the army of ogres. BBEG father replies to the sending with basically "ok, if the beings that told you that, are some of my former adventuring party, kill them"

Huge plot device to be noted:
BBEG father, PC's adopted father (a dwarf), NPC bodyguard mother and henchman #2 were all once together as a party of adventurers. As well as a dead human knight and unimportant halfling! (Human knight died trying to stop BBEG father when BBEG father turned evil infront of party's eyes after reading mysterious tablet in an underground temple on the floating continent/island responsible for the trees made to make airships)

Adopted father was with PC at time of meeting #4, PC answers honestly that "yes, #4 is one of the beings you listed". #4 attacks! (PC could have lied without bluff needed, and this would have let PC get into BBEG father's secret society). #4 is beaten and captured.

BBEG father now knows of BBEG daughter's plans! BBEG father contacts daughter to gloat that he knows of her plans. I'm not sure what would be said in the exchange here, it could be relevant, so need to figure it out. BBEG daughter takes a hissy fit because PC ruined the surprise attack. She then contacts the PC via dream to tell PC that BBEG Dad knows what BBEG daughter is doing as well as what PC is doing now. To top things off, custom dragon type can't be scryed on due to will of the gods, but because only 1 should exist (1 true custom dragon and 0 half dragons) the existing half custom dragon can scry on the custom dragon of the PC because the fates see the BBEG father as the same being as the custom dragon (and you can always scry upon yourself, because you can willingly fail any saving throws. BBEG has anti-scry ruins to prevent him from being scyed on)

As of right now: PC is on floating continent, and found out that not only is the Magistrate of the Continent (ok, it's more just a city-island) the PC's mother (PC was kidnapped as a baby by BBEG father, and was going to be test experiment #2 for Rite of Draconic Affinity), but also that the human knight is the PC's biological father! (Knight was brought back to life after BBEG father left the continent the first time with the party -who mostly ran away, except bodyguard mom, who loved BBEG and henchmen #2, who liked the evil plans at first. However BBEG returned to island for more info, and was attacked by knight... who was killed again). So now; PC is heading into ruins to try and get the knight/father's body back and resurrect him. (Then party would consist of PC, DMPC lover, custom dragon, adopted dwarf father, and human knight father... and possibly bodyguard mother if PC really wants to. Might even let the unimportant halfling be found and join)

Soooooo... ya. That's the campaign, we're on unofficial break due to my gf/PC returning to university (in city, we still see each other almost everyday); and I want to figure out what would the BBEG daughter and father each do? It will take a month for the daughter to sail around the continent to the Swamp Ogres (PC knows this), plus any time it takes for the Forest Ogres to make sailing ships. I'm thinking the daughter might attack the Ex-Pirates out of spite (and get some goblins that live in the forest around the Pirate lair). But I have no idea what the BBEG father would do!

The father/daughter conversation should be short, and mostly the father speaking. He sounds very manipulative and power-hungry, so he probably considers her "no longer his daughter" now that she is actively going against him. I'm guessing that he would tell her repeatedly how easily he will crush her army, and then she makes a retalitory statement about how she'll do the same to him. No important information is exchanged. That's how I see it, anyway.

I imagine both the father and the daughter will attempt to manipulate the party into fighting the other's army, so that either the party or the opposing family member will be destroyed.

The situation seems to be rock/rock/rock, which is much more exciting than rock/paper/scissors. :smalltongue:
