So, for my next campaign, I'm thinking about playing a medium. A guy that interacts/communicates with ghosts and this kind of thing. He's not supposed to be somekind of undead slayer, bu instead I'm thinking more about a summoner with some cool abilities.

As far as I went, this is what I got:
- the Spirit Shaman is a medium in a can, but I would like to not use it, if possible,
- the Master of Shrouds can summon incorporeal undeads,
- the feats Life Sense and Spirit Sense feats can add nice fluff abilities for this character,
- the Speak with the Dead spell fits nicelly with this caracter concept,
- the 5th lvl ability of the Dirgesinger PrC is also cool and flavorful for this guy.

Finally, I'm tending for this:
Divine Bard 1/Cloistered Cleric 4/Master of Shrouds 10/Dirgesinger 5.

But I don't know if this is the best way, since I'm losing 6 CL anyway. Maybe I should focus in being a bard or a cleric and not both? "/
Is there any form to gain bardic music as a cleric or rebuke undead as a bard?
Also, am I missing any feat or class that can add flavor and power to this build?

Thanks.

You can't possibly be human though - a Medium medium is too boring.

Play a Halfling that has escaped from prison - that way he can be a Small medium at large.

Edit: to help you though, there is the feat Divine Inspiration, which allows cleric and bard levels to stack for determining what bardic music abilities are available.
