Your Champions Online Heroes (pic heavy thread)

Champions Online is released for about two weeks now, enough so everyone could fiddle with the character creator a bit. So I'm making this thread so you can share YOUR creations with us.

Provide a screenshot of your characters and background information if any. Carbon copies of other characters are accepted, if only to show your skill with the creator, but at least have the courtesy of picking an obscure character.

You're also allowed to post screens of other heroes you found in-game you found cool. But do your best to provide a name.

Well, these are the rules. Here are my heroes:

Athenian Blade

Former lackey of The Necronomicon Holder (a character of mine from City of Villains), the Athenian Blade has freed himself from control. Now, this forgotten Greek hero is out for revenge for the evil deeds his former master made him do. An extremely strong zombie proficient with the gladius and capable of some supernatural feats, he defends the innocent and assist the virtuous until such time he finds his former master.

The Satyr

He came to our world in a quest to romance all the most beautiful women of Millennium City and beyond, he's always happy to save a damsel in distress. On the other hand, he's got a reputation of passing by men in need without as much as raising an eyebrow in acknowledgement. He uses a bow and adapted katars to overpower perps.

The Metallic Paladin

A new vigilante in the city, the citizens he saved gave him the title. He doesn't seem to acknowledge it, and the police considers him armed and dangerous. With reason. More than a few met their ends once they crossed paths with this hero, but so far it seems to be only a chosen few of the hordes he faces. What drives him to choose to opt for murder is unknown, and may even be occasional accidents, considering the firepower he utilizes.

This halfling gal came to Millennium City in a magical accident. She is a skilled warrior interested in our firearms technology who's currently selling her skills to the highest bids. Still so far she's refused jobs from villains and questionable sources. She fights with two short swords and occasionally with small firearms.

This hero is hard to be interviewed upon, but claims to do heroics mostly because he has nothing better to do until he recovers his powers. Once he mentioned coming from a world called Axeoth running from alien invaders called Kreegans, but many question him because he looks like a quite human skeleton. His powers are varied and almost certainly magic.

Claiming to be Atlas, the Titan who was condemned to hold the world above his head, his strength is so godlike one comes to consider it might actually be true. He seems to do heroics just for fun, while he takes a hard time trying to adapt to our world.

For some reason, I find this character beyond awesome. The best tribute to Hulk I saw in the game while still managing to be something completely original.

EDIT: Exchanged the original screenshots with new ones made at nearly max graphical settings. The new ones are MUCH improved. Added some poses as well.

Elizah Smith was once a renowned researcher in the field of "Stealth" cybernetics - Implants totally concealed within the human body. He had his long-time friend and partner, Joshua Freeman, surgeon and Nero-scientist were both captured and placed under gunpoint to work under very exacting positions to implant a number of terrorist cells with a variety of wetware. And so they did - for a little over a year.
During this time, however, Elizah underwent multiple surgeries performed by Joshua to implant him with a wide variety of unique stealth implants far superior to that of the terrorist soldiers.
Eventually, Elizah saw and seized the opportunity which would gain him his freedom. Catching a guard unawares, Elizah stole the man's pistol and sent one round straight through the terrorist's brain case.
What happened within the following hour was an intense running gun battle the computers within Elizah's brain recording every second and feeding his muscles real-time data to maximise his kill potential and minimise his return profile, whilst muscle enhancers and servo-motors caused his thoughtless accuracy to skyrocket.
The computer was inventing and commanding Elizah to go through new forms of Gun Kata.

At the end of it all, Elizah Smith stood over the terrorist leader and slew him, immediately before hacking into the computer system. But something was wrong. A malicious, fail-safe, a virus known as the Cyberphage attacked Elizah's newfound programming causing total wetware shutdown. In the throes of victory, Elizah Smith was defeated.
Eventually, Joshua managed to recover his friend's body and implant him with a series of nanobots to hack back and purge the virus. This had unexpected results. While the nanobots did reboot Elizah's wetware, they were eventually corrupted and re-programmed by the Cyberphage to do one thing:
Destroy all cells connected to the Central Nervous System.
Before they could advance too far, Elizah's spine was surgically removed and replaced with one final cybernetic upgrade, purging his system of the virus once and for all.
Except - it wasn't small numbers of bots - numbering little more than two dozen - survived and currently circulate within the cyborg's blood stream, eventually making the foray to the brain, and consuming before being thwarted. His final, desperate bid for freedom and signed Elizah's death warrant.
Whilst he and Joshua work together to destroy the virus once and for all, Elizah took his killer's moniker and pledged that the last years of his life would be spent making things better, and not scrambling around like a rat in a cage.
He became Cyberphage. He became a Hero.

Also, try screenshots in higher resolution, take mind of lightning during the shot and maybe edit it later to make it more discernible. I can barely make anything out of the Screenshot you provided, Thanatos.

That said, the concept is solid and the costume design is cool. Props up!

Fair enough. You COULD have picked a better spot to take the shot, however. The background is of a close tone to the costume.

After much care, consideration, and the unlocking of a decent pistols costume piece, I have modified both of Cyberphage's costumes and taken slightly better pictures!

Primary costume: The guns are different, of course, but I've also taken the liberty of removing the stupid shiny metal face mask.

Estimated powers: Mysteriousness, superhuman speed, superhuman strength, practically invulnerable to conventional weaponry.

I was pretty much in a noir/pulp mood, so I made your typical vigilante cop who decided to take the law into his own hands. I didn't feel like expanding on the character background, since I knew I wouldn't be playing the game "for real" until after I've bought it.

Try increasing video quality before taking the shot. I don't know if you're playing in a laptop, a crappy PC or just an average PC in Windows 7, but the video quality you're playing at is a bit shabby. Yet, yes, it is MUCH better. You can make out how the character looks like with ease now. I didn't improve the video quality for my shots, as I felt the quality was good enough already. Though I'm considering redoing them in the max setting now...

Anyways, for the rest of the people here. Make you shots slim. It is difficult to look at a pic that you need to scroll sideways to view full. Crop the sides of all that unnecessary background. Thank you.

Too bad camera control is somewhat limited in the game, as it makes difficult to frame your character for a shot (especially if it is a short character, it was very hard to make a shot of Lydia that was still discernible without cutting her legs off...).

About Horned Reaper... it doesn't look anything like, but the games Dungeon Keeper I and II had a Horned Reaper as the most powerful creature you could have in your dungeon. To tell the truth, it'd be an awesome character, but unfortunately his design is a bit too much even for CO's character creator, as he has huge teeth in a very wide mouth and specifically shaped horns at his head AND his chins. Oh, and he had a Scythe.

About Horned Reaper... it doesn't look anything like, but the games Dungeon Keeper I and II had a Horned Reaper as the most powerful creature you could have in your dungeon. To tell the truth, it'd be an awesome character, but unfortunately his design is a bit too much even for CO's character creator, as he has huge teeth in a very wide mouth and specifically shaped horns at his head AND his chins. About Horned Reaper... it doesn't look anything like, but the games Dungeon Keeper I and II had a Horned Reaper as the most powerful creature you could have in your dungeon. To tell the truth, it'd be an awesome character, but unfortunately his design is a bit too much even for CO's character creator, as he has huge teeth in a very wide mouth and specifically shaped horns at his head AND his chins. Oh, and he had a Scythe.

I was just going for a really big skeleton guy. :smallbiggrin: And yes, that would be too much for this creator (which is pretty epic in my opinion).

@potatocubed: All from the joy of hitting random a dozen times.
Here are their powers:
Thunderfail - He can create bolts of thunder, but they fail to hit/destroy anything ever. The bad guys fall over laughing at this.

The Questionable Quarterback - All the powers of a regular quarterback, but with the added power of making criminals question him a lot.

Wolfundra - She has a wolf-head. That IS her power.

WTFia - The bad guys are completely stupefied into a semi-catatonic state through the sheer force of her ability to bamboozle.

@Murdim: He does look a bit like those now that you say it.

At any rate, I'll do a "Nemesis" thread just as soon as I get Nemesis for my characters, but it might take a while (I'm evolving them at the same rate).

But if anyone could beat me to it... I'd like to lay the rules:

Pics: Make them discernible and of good size. Crop as necessary of useless background.

Put a background on how he met your hero and why is he out to make the hero miserable (or why the hero picked him to keep an eye out for).

Also, list his minions. They're almost as important.
