I gave this one a go in the Q&A thread, but nobody wanted to give it a go;

In the epic Dispel seed, it states that the dispel check is 1d20+10, +1 for each additional +1 to the Spellcraft DC. Does this mean that the caster level of the dispeller isn't an issue, so long as they can make the spellcraft dc?

Thanks, folks.

Other than overcoming spell resistance, caster level does not affect epic spells (not to the best of my knowledge, anyway

That's what I thought as well. Thanks.

If we use superb dispelling (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/spells/superbDispelling.htm) as an example, that only refers to the cap on the caster level. Not the actual caster level. But the text in the dispel seed seems to contradict that, even though superb dispelling uses the dispel seed specifically.

I think that it is also in error:
1) additional +30 to dispel check (+30 DC),
2) But look here: Greater Dispel with max +40.

Greater Dispel has max +20 +30=50 not 40.

So Superb Dispelling isn't even written right.
It should say as Dispel Magic but +40 Max or additional +20 to dispel check (+20 DC).

The dispel seed starts with a base of +10, so the +30 is correct. That also means with a DC 39 spellcraft check you could make an epic spell that imitates an ordinary dispel magic, except that it works against any spell.
