I was always a big fan of the whole 'X stat to Y bonus thing', but I wanted to point something out real quick.

While looking through what you have here it was kind of hard to differentiate between the source of the ability and what the ability did. Maybe underlining or italicizing would be handy.

Different organization from what I recall, and GitP is a really weird place to choose to place optimization information but I do appreciate the work. WotC forums are so screwed I've been sticking to using the Google caches.

I think that a table format is going to be too large, and you would need separate tables for each subheading under each stat to keep it organized. It's not clear how that's better or smaller than a table.

The code block is significantly smaller, and moreover, has the added benefits of not cutting off coding between cells and not drawing the eye over to empty space. Granted, formatting the code block is done better with a monospaced font (which the Post Message field does not have), but it's still considerably easier to format (once you get the spacing right).

Edit: And remember - tables will wrap lines within a cell (that's bad). Code blocks won't.

Edit Edit: Ooh, I never realized that the tables could be sorted by column. That might be worth the extra size if you took that into account.

This is an re-post of old and very much used thread (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19871590/X_stat_to_Y_bonus). Someone tried to update it while back (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19872642/NEW_X_stat_to_Y_bonus?num=10&pg=1), but then pretty much abandoned it rather then hunting down all off the correct book and page number references. And it seems like a lot of the more obscure and setting specific stuff is missing. And now that WotC has changed their forums, the formatting of the original post is totally off. So I though I'd repost it here where all of us can access it easily, and ask people for updates.

A frequent build problem is that at mid-high levels, it's likely that your character will only have one or two high attributes, because you have limited bonus attribute points from levels and limited treasure to buy attribute boosting items. Thus it's in your best interest to derive as many bonuses as possible from as few attributes as possible. So the purpose of this post is to compile a list of everything that provides a bonus to anything derived from any attribute.

Actually, looking at the example with the tables above and the code below, I found the tables to be much more legible. Empty space makes it easier for me to parse.

Dead Eye only works with ranged weapons (in which you have Weapon Focus), and only as a point-blank shot. The ranged weapon limitation, at least, should be noted.

The Alternate Class Features from Drow of the Underdark are not substitution levels, or even exclusive to drow, despite some of their names. And the actual ACF name is Hit-and-Run Tactics, not Drow Fighter.
