Can I get outside confirmation that this isn't in fact, hamhanded advertising or a guy spreading a virus?
As for using attrqctive women to sell... well, pretty much anything, I believe it. It's an age-old and effective marketing practice that works even on the educated. MArketing tactics oft seen as simple or crude do, in fact, work on even the educated.
I admit, I'm more inclined to, when taking to adverts which are the same excepting the inclusion of the image of an attractive women (Same game, theme, tagline, et. cetera), I'm more inclined to investigate the one with the XX.
But it's not the sole deciding factor, good advertising need to apply on multiple levels.

It's an apparently legit article about Chinese companies using "sexy girls" as an advertisement even though it has nothing to do with the game itself. The site is, at least seemingly, legit (note that I did not allow any cookies nor scripts so I can't say for sure).

The user doesn't seem like a bot either, checking his old posts; just someone who posts very, very rarely and only in this game forum. *shrug* I'm a bit confused by all this to be honest. You'd THINK this would be a generic bot.

I find it amusing that anyone is shocked by this revelation. It's like they thought "double your pleasure" in the Doublemint ads meant something other than "buy our chewing gum while fantasizing about a threesome with these hot twins".

There are various confirmations from woman that identify as 'straight' which would claim the game itself isn't half bad. I'm still not playing it because they woman on it don't have large enough breasts.

But isn't that a Japanese advertisement? I don't know if you noticed, but they're fine with their methods and they are nothing new. There's very little cultural bias against using sexy girls for games, at least in the gamer community.

No, a game or movie is not immature just because it features sex. People have sex, and I think that representing said in works of art in a game or movie can be a legitimate and good thing. It doesn't even have to be abstract or prudish, I've got exactly no objection to nudity in games. I actually found the way the Witcher handled sex to be reasonable for example. It showed people in a sexual capacity in a context where they were already sexualized, since you just slept with them. Erotica being linked with sex is not something I've got a problem with.

Jiggling boobies on a character in a fighting game however is rather different. That's erotica linked with absolutely nothing that has to do with sex, and is thus, to my mind, sexualizing characters in settings that it makes no sense to do so in. It's there as a turn on, but it doesn't even try to be anything more than that. It's there simply because sex is appealing, but not because it is in character, or informative or interesting or contextualized or anything else.

Also, the physics are bad.

I can't say I'm shocked by it, but I at first considered myself disappointed in such behavior. It's not that I object to sex in abstract, but I would prefer that we (as a species) at least pretend we have some purpose here on earth beyond sex. Then I remembered it's a game about stabbing virtual people. That put it in a useful perspective. ::shrug::

As for the OP, ads such as that are a major reason I use adblock. Frankly I'm uncomfortable with them. Pornography that is sought out is one thing, but it's not something I care to be surrounded by.
