Are there any spells that let you know the targets current HP.

I'm making a kobold dracolexi and alot of the powerword spells require that the monster be at x hp or under and i was curious if there is a spell or buff (like detect HP or something) that can tell me.

"Deathwatch"... An 'evil' spell.

There's the "Combat Focus" chain of feats in PHB2.

IIRC, greater status does this as well.

Deathwatch doesn't actualy give you the HP total.

It just tells you how close the are to death

Using the foul sight granted by the powers of unlife, you can determine the condition of creatures near death within the spell’s range. You instantly know whether each creature within the area is dead, fragile (alive and wounded, with 3 or fewer hit points left), fighting off death (alive with 4 or more hit points), undead, or neither alive nor dead (such as a construct).

Deathwatch sees through any spell or ability that allows creatures to feign death.

Edit: Where is greater status from and can a sorc cast it?

Closest thing i know of is STATUS. . . not exactly hit points, but the condition of the target.

Status
Divination
Level: Clr 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Targets: One living creature touched per
three levels
Duration: 1 hour/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)
When you need to keep track of comrades
who may get separated, status allows you to
mentally monitor their relative positions
and general condition. You are aware of
direction and distance to the creatures and
any conditions affecting them: unharmed,
wounded, disabled, staggered, unconscious,
dying, nauseated, panicked,
stunned, poisoned, diseased, confused, or
the like. Once the spell has been cast upon
the subjects, the distance between them
and the caster does not affect the spell as
long as they are on the same plane of
existence. If a subject leaves the plane, or if
it dies, the spell ceases to function for it.

There is a feat that allows you to learn one statistic of one creature -- could be AC, HP, whatever. Can't recall the name of it, but perhaps my mention will jog someones memory.
