Okay in one of the threads on these boards (and elsewhere) I promised to do a .pdf of a homebrew I've been working on. I have one nagging problem though: Where the heck can I post it for people to download? Preferably someplace free that wont do malicious things.

Rapidshare (http://www.rapidshare.com/) suits you?

I'm not sure how many downloads of a file is allowed if you don't have premium account, so you may have to upload it multiple times, if many people intend to download it, but it's free and should tie you for some time.

There are plenty of spaces online that offer free hosting for all sorts of good stuff, but they all happen to escape me at the moment. :smalleek: I WOULD recommend Geocities, but it just happens to be closing down in October, and I think it might not actually be free.

Rapidshare works, but I think you have to log in every X weeks (I think 2) or they cancel your account without warning.

Alternatively you could get a free website from Freewebs or any other free hosting service and upload the pdf there.

Megaupload is pretty decent, but has, I believe, a 50MB cap.

Mediafire is by far the best solution for this. Unlimited free uploads with a 100 MB limit for free users, unlimited fast parallel downloads, custom URL for your username if you want one, and searchable with google.

I think rapidshare caps downloads at 10, so Mediafire oe one of the others it shall have to be. Thanks guys!

Yahoo has been having issues lately, not the least of which is the massive political infighting after the failed Microsoft merger

I have a Wordpress account, so I upload PDFs there.

Hmm...4Shared gives 5 gig of space...as long as I log in every 30 days. That might work out for a couple project ideas I have.
