Hi. Given the expertise level here, I thought I'd tap into the collective mind of the Playground for this one :smallbiggrin:

Well, I'm just studying for my exam, and I realised I'd forgotten how to do this one type of question :smallyuk:. When it is solved, could there be an explanation to accompany it, please?

The question is:

(a^2n-1*b^3*c^1-n)/(a^n-3*b^2-n*c^2-2n)

Your question is equivalent to a^(n+2)*b^(n+1)*c^(n-1)

Essentially when dividing exponents, group the like terms and subtract the exponents.

By grouping a, the equation a^(2n-1)/a^(n-3) = a^(2n-1-(n-3))= a^(2n-1-n+3)= a^(n+2)
