View Full Version : Snowblind - Into the North

This is the thread for my webcomic Snowblind. It uses the most exact imitation of Order of the Stick graphical style as I could manage, though the story and characters are all my own.

Well, it's somewhat based on a DnD campaign I'm currently running, and it takes place in a far-north setting that borrows heavily from Norse mythology.

I will post Bios for the characters eventually, as they appear. I doubt I'll ever update regularly, but you can expect a comic every 1 to 2 weeks. Of course I'll probably put them out a little faster at the start.

Here's it is:

Strip 1 - It Begins (http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/yy306/Psyco_Jelly/Snowblind/snowblind_1.png)
Strip 2 - Provision Acquisition (http://i802.photobucket.com/albums/yy306/Psyco_Jelly/Snowblind/snowblind_2.png)
Strip 3 - A Little Much (http://img119.imageshack.us/img119/4593/snowblind3.png)

Tell me what you think.

Well, the art looks nice  Can't really comment on anythings besides that, put I'll check it out when you update.

I posted the next strip, now there is actual dialog. You should be able to discern the characters' names now.

Your should correct the speech bubbles. It's cutting off the words.

Looks like it could be interesting. Will keep an eye out for this.

You've got me drawn in, now you just need to hook me within the next few comics to hold my interest. I cannot see any art faults, and the story, I expect, will be revealed in time.

Good luck, and I hope you make a fan out of me!

The speech-bubbles seems a bit small at some points, but otherwise I think this has real potential

I get it!

What? I do! Even if it isn't out yet, I get it!

New one's out, it was too big for photobucket (dimensions, not file size) so I used imageshack. I'll probably just use that from now on. It's not like I'm posting this anywhere else.

I am aware that an elf has a beard. It's not a mistake.

This is shaping up to be a decent comic, although your walking pose needs a bit of work. At the moment it looks almost like they're skipping along. :smalltongue:

Definitely work on the speech bubbles.

The first strip gave me a chuckle. And your mammoth was impressive.

I tried to fix my too-small speech bubble problem in the latest strip. Also, I'm looking at Rich's work to try and fix my walking pose.

EDIT: Ah, I see. Back leg bent, front leg straight. I'll keep that in mind for the next strip.
