Hey guys, I've been reading this cool comic called Anti-Heroes (http://antiheroescomic.com/comic) and was wondering if anyone else read it too.

You know, because this is the OotS board.

And there's a thread for it in the fancomics subforum.

I read it, and right now I'm annoyed by how consistently it updates. If you're not gonna update every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday like the site says, then take the banner that is saying so down. And try updating more than twice a month, I find myself checking it rather rarely these days, cause I've no expectation of it to actually have a new comic.

However, I do enjoy the story, and I like the characters, so I'm not removing it from my list of webcomics completely.

it actaully started here on the boards and transferred once it got enough of a fanbase to allow for an own website.

I just found this comic, and wow. I used to like OOTS, thinking they were original, but here's this comic that OOTS is clearly ripping both the artwork and the writing style from. Not good enough! Yes, I am joking.

You know what, if this comic ends abruptly on comic 204, I'll still be somewhat satisfied with it. Why? Because it's had 204 strips... its had quality in both writing and art... its had its own site.. which is better than Failing Saves.

I can see how it could end, given that Aldran and everyone have been taken in custody after a big battle, but I don't think I'd be satisfied, too much has been said and built up and prepared for that I think it'd need a full and complete telling to really satisfy the fans.

(I know this comment is a bit old. I still felt like responding).

I have no problem with authors leaving up banners saying "Updates X-X-X" when it's no longer true as long as they make it rather obvious in other places that it's no longer true. It's a weird thing about me, to be sure, but whatever.

What I do have a problem with is with authors saying "I'll have the comic up by ___" and then not have it up.

Not that I'm any better with that than other people. *Boots up various programs and starts working on update for Let's Play <.<*

I was determined to get another comic done before December, and I somehow managed. Talk about cutting it down to the wire...

Anyway, I have a bit of a plan now as well. This time last year, I was falling behind in my updates as well, and I decided to take some time off without updates to avoid some of the pressure of working on a deadline and build up a buffer. I only took about a week or two off, but it was enough for me to get ahead again. I've decided that I'm going to do the same again this year, but being that I have far less free time these days, I'm regrettably going to be taking the entire month of December off.

I imagine that some of you will be disappointed, but I really do want to get myself ahead again so I can at least give some semblance of activity around here. I'll still be checking the site, and I might even throw up some filler or other material throughout the month, but I'm putting a hold on actual updates for a month.

So, this is the last update of 2009. Here's hoping I can get things on track for another new year, and in case anyone doesn't come around until then, I'll see you in 2010!
