I need inspirations on pirate-related stuff for a personal project.
Can someone recommend me games that have a great pirate atmosphere? Even if the game itself isn't really great, what really matters for me now is how well pirate-themed it is.
I'm currently playing Tales of Monkey Island.

(I'm mainly referring to the fantasy style of pirates, by the way)

Pirates of the Burning Sea - Pirate MMORPG, you can buy, make or steal a ship, play one of 4 factions, and compete in PvP
Sid Miers Pirates - great game, plays like a simplified version of PotBS, and lacks the economic angles
Port Royale 2 - mostly an economic sim set in the carribean, you have the option to turn to piracy if you desire
Munchkin booty - the card game munchkin, now with pirates, never played it, cant vouch for its quality
Pirates of dark Water (Sega Genesis) - old side scrolling platformer based on the tv show (you ask for fantasy was confused, offer this as fantasy)

S.M. Pirates! Definitely, and although it isn't really pirate game per say, you could try the new Tropico 3. Welcome, El Presidente.

Tropico 2 though was a pirate game.

It's a management game though and while very pirate-themed plays a little abstracted at times.
