I've done a bit of searching and I can't seem to find a thread on this... here or elsewhere. As per the books, a Warforged can have its armored body made magical via the normal process for any armor. What I can't find is, what of the requirement for the armor to be masterwork quality?

Is a Warforged's armor naturally masterwork? They are living constructs, so they're already magical...

Or does a player have to pay the 150GP at character creation for their armor to be considered masterwork?

I have a feeling it's the former, but if anyone has thoughts or, even better, sources to confirm this one way or another, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the statement that Composite Plating can be enhanced as magical armor is meant to bypass the normal requirement for the armor to be masterwork. Otherwise, yes, I would consider a Warforged to be masterwork, especially if they took one of the X Body feats, as anything made with most of those materials is automatically masterwork.
