I hear your opponent only knows about a readied action if they see you ready it. If that's the case then Moto won't know about the readied action as it was technically readied at the midpoint of the ride (M11/N12) well out of LoS.

-takes any disruptable action (such as drinking a potion)
-Approaches to within 10ft
-Starts to enter mist if they aren't currently in mist
-Starts to leave LoS
-Readies an action
-Ends turn
-or starts to move from within 30ft to more than 30ft away

Wait...
By PHB, a horse is a suitable mount for a human, dwarf, elf, half elf, or half orc, while a pony is suitable for a gnome or halfling. So how can Dense, being a Gnome ride a heavy warhorse? I'm guessing you have a good reason, so I'll take my turn anyway.

Fortunately 'suitable' and 'rideable' are not complete synonyms. :smallwink:

Explanation spoilered for space:
To be ridden a mount need only be capable of caring the rider.
To gain a mount it need only have a price tag or be granted by a class feature.

The heavy war horse satisfies both of these criteria, so Dense can use it. He *was* saving up to buy a hipogriff, but at about 3,000 gp decided that regardless of the coolness factor Dense had better uses for the money now than at some hypothical time 2,500 gp into the future.

Also, suitability is a relative term.
A horse is less suitable in most circumstances for small creatures. Medium mounts are cheaper and don't cause falling damage if you get knocked off so there is often little reason not go with a dog or pony.

But, for a medium creature a pony isn't as suitable because of weight. You'd have to be either an female elf or anerexic to not be a medium load by yourself, and if you are a 200 lb half or in 101 lbs of armor I suppose you *could* get the pony to stagger around but for you the horse is much better.

In the case of Dense, recent Arena experience has shown his dog to be to slow and too frail to function well at L2, which is why Dense is happy with a mount that is faster, has more HP, better Saves, better attack, etc than the dog. Even if it is too big to allow quick mount/dismounts.

Plus saddles for medium mounts weigh the same as for large mounts by RAW. :smallyuk:

It was a bit of a handicap going into combat with a mount that could carry Dense, Denses's equipement, a saddle, and armor... but just pick 3. :smallannoyed:

I can't think of any reason the horse wouldn't make an AoO unless the rider had both also attacked and failed the Fight-With-Mount ride check.

As for height bonus I think I vaguely remember something about that,but can't remember where though. If it comes up I'll only claim it if I can find a reference allowing it.

As far as hiding for flat footed: Uncanny Dodge. The 24 hit anyway however.

Uh-oh. My opponent ran away. My opponent has a potion stash. This is not good. Only good news is that drawing a potion is a move action so he can't have moved, drawn, and drunk any potions already.

(Dense Has LoS to N-19 at the start, so if Moto really went due south he'd have to have done more than 5-ft step to break LoS))

Hrm. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that LoS hasn't changed.

Welp, that's one potion he's probably downed, either a curative or buff. I'll give this one more round to find him, but if Moto ever gets both down Dense may as well start running until the Shield of Faith durations he'll have certainly used runs down.

That's game.

Although Motorcycle performed well at level one, he was adapted for the map and able to use it to good advantage. Not true of this arena, and at level two he seems to be badly outclassed. Notwithstanding, well played. I like the horse attacking thing. Four attacks in a single round is not too shabby.
