When wulticlassing (sword-mage multi-class wizard), can the character use his sword (swordmage implement) with wizards power or must he use a wizard imkplement ? Also, if the character use a wizard paragon path, can he use the sword as implement?

No, you can't automatically use a sword for Wizard powers. It'll work if you take the Arcane Implement Proficiency (Heavy Blades) feat, or if you take the Wizard of the Spiral Tower paragon path. The latter one has the benefit of your sword working with the Wizard implement mastery class feature, but it also only works for longswords.

As a rule, you cannot use a class's implement for another class unless the latter could use it in the first place. For example, a bard/wizard can use a wand for both of his classes since both of them, can use a wand as an implement.

The exception is hybrid characters. Hybrid characters can use either class's implements for the other; a bard|wizard can use musical instruments for his wizard powers and orbs for his bard powers.

Eladrin Wizards also have a feat that allows them to treat a longsword as a wand.

Some weapon and implement enchantments also specifically state that they count as a certain implement, or as an implement for a specific class. In these cases, the rule of thumb "specific trumps general" holds.
