If I were to have an amphibious car, I'd want to be able to take it anywhere, not just on water and on roads.

May I humbly suggest the Schwimmwagen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Schwimmwagen)?

I present the Gibbs Aquada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquada) for your consideration. Just as practical as the first car, but much cleaner.

I love it!
Now I just need to find me a Luftwagen and my plans for world domination will be complete.
Seriously, I love that aesthetic.
Sure, these cars that go over the water are fine, even dandy. But look out for this one surface dwellers! (http://telstarlogistics.typepad.com/telstarlogistics/2008/02/a-submersible-c.html)

The Russians had a version of something like that. I found it in a tank graveyard. Will have to upload the pic, but they called it PTC - swimming transport, medium. 42 km/hour on land, 11 on water. Maybe tрat's a bit slow, but ITS A TANK.

Yeah, they had quite a few amphibious AFVs. This website (http://www.tanksforsale.co.uk/Tanks_Trucks_Jeeps_for_sale.htm) will even sell you several: the OT-64 and OT-90/BMP-1, at least, and possibly others.

Unfortunately, they're all more than I can afford. :smallannoyed:
