Did-They-Send-Me-Daughters Complaint
Cost: –
Mins: War 5, Essence 4
Type: Permanent
Keywords: Training
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: Tiger Warrior Training Technique

The Lawgivers do not always have the good fortune of leading trained military men into battle. When they must, they will take up arms to fight alongside milkmaids and merchants, sniveling students and their own young daughters. This Charm enhances the Solar’s Tiger Warrior Training Technique. When using it, he may choose not to train his military unit in an Ability, but to allow them to use any one Ability in place of Archery, Martial Arts, or Melee while fighting in a mass unit led by him. He might train scholars to use their knowledge of Lore in battle, dancers to use Performance to choreograph brutal violence, or schoolgirls to use their skills at Socialize to fighter together in cliques. The Solar may train the mass unit in any Ability, so long as his player can put forth a way in which it applies to combat. This training imposes an XP debt of 6 XP on all characters trained.

Heed My Every Order
Cost: –
Mins: War 2, Essence 2
Type: Permanent
Keywords: War
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: Any War Excellency

The Solar warlord does not win battles by his own strength of arms, but by his mastery of the battlefield. Whenever the Solar makes an attack roll while leading a mass combat unit, he may substitute his War for his Archery, Martial Arts, Melee, or Thrown. He may enhance such attack rolls with War excellencies.

Coursing River Deployment
Cost: 1m
Mins: War 4, Essence 2
Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Combo-OK, War
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms:

The Solar commands his armies well, and they cleave to his every word. Swift as a coursing river, they wheel across the battlefield, outflanking and outmaneuvering their every foe. Invoking this Charm, the Solar may reflexively take a Turn, Disengage, Split Unit, or Merge Units action. At Essence 4, the Solar may also use this Charm to take Change Formation and Rally actions.

Great Typhoon Siege
Cost: 6m
Mins: War 5, Essence 4
Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Combo-OK, War
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Commanding the Ideal Celestial Army

When the armies of righteousness march, the five directions hold no safety for their foes. Sweeping across Creation with all the force of a great typhoon, the Solar warlord denies his hated enemies any chance of escape. The Solar may reflexively invoke this Charm whenever an enemy mass unit attempts to disengage from combat with a unit they lead. They automatically fail their roll to disengage, forced to remain in combat with the Solar’s army.

Raging Fire Onslaught
Cost: – (+5m)
Mins: War 5, Essence 5
Type: Permanent
Keywords: Obvious
Duration: One scene
Prerequisite Charms: Heroism-Encouraging Presence

The Solar’s armies fight with all the strength of a raging fire, undimmed by the forces arrayed against them. This Charm enhances the Solar’s Heroism-Encouraging Presence, allowing him to spend 5 additional motes when he invokes it. As he does, his anima bursts into golden fire, a light mirrored in the eyes of his allies. While using this Charm, any mass unit the Solar leads in combat cannot have its Magnitude reduced beneath the Solar’s (War) by damage, so long as the Solar stands. Any damage that would be dealt to the unit past the point is simply wasted, failing to harm the unit.

A second purchase of Essence 7 allows this Charm to enhance the Ideal Battle Knowledge Prana, as well as Heroism-Encouraging Presence. When the Solar uses this Charm with Ideal Battle Knowledge Prana, spending 5 additional motes as usual, the benefits of this Charm apply not only to the mass unit he commands, but to all allied mass units under his command within (Essence x 10) miles. Note that this power does not protect the commanders of those mass units–they can be attacked and killed normally.

Dark Side of the Moon Deception
Cost: 5m
Mins: War 3, Essence 2
Type: Supplemental
Keywords: Combo-OK, War
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Any War Excellency

The Solar warlord’s strategies are mysterious as the dark side of the moon. This Charm supplements an attack made by a mass combat unit, concealing it with deft subterfuge and misdirection. The commander of the unit being attacked must make a successful (Wits + War) roll at a difficulty of the Solar’s (Essence) to realize he is being attacked–otherwise, the attack is unexpected. In addition, the enemy commander does not even realize his unit has been attacked, so long as the attack does not reduce the magnitude of his unit by more than one.

I can't say I know the system well, but this brought a smile to my face nonetheless. Also, you got that song stuck in my head. Damn you!
