A low wind blew through the streets of Sharn. It was a busy day, with a low fog rolling in from the South. It was a surprisingly warm day for Autumn, but it was nice. Ships in the harbor were coming in as the sun slowly rose up from the East, shining on the harbor.
Despite the peaceful scene, Sharn was having serious problems. The murder rate had tripled since the beginning of the summer, and some of the murders were particularly gruesome. They were indiscriminate, and no one seemed safe. Lords were found floating face down in their own bathtubs, ship captains found chopped up into little pieces. Martial law was only a few steps away.
