Teh greatest mecha anim3 of all time!!!!!11!!!elven!

Ahem. As part of the GitP Visual Novel project, a Super Robot (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SuperRobot) Show Within A Show (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ShowWithinAShow) was proposed.
So, if there's a Show Within a Show it's tradition to make it Getter Robo on drugs. Here's what I've got:

Mugen-1: Piloted by a Japanese-American who wants to be a cowboy and constantly brags about his aim, this mech looks oddly like a revolver. His finishing move has him draw his pistol and fire it at his control panel, causing an enlarged version of the bullet to come out of the mech's barrel.

Mugen-2: Has a drill for a head, which can be used to create tornadoes, though since the cockpit is in the head this tends to leave the pilot dizzy. This is never played for laughs.

Mugen-3: Basically the upper body of Boss Borot connected to a pair of tank treads that look toothy enough to eat you.

Mugen-X: Mugen-2 flies up and Mugen-3 attaches diagonally to its head, while Mugen-1 attaches to one of its legs. An instant later they have somehow formed a robot with a drill for a right arm and a chainsaw for a left. It can fire the chainsaws as missiles, and they regrow instantly. The chainsaws are also on fire. Its drill is swung like a sword to cut things in half (usually two slashes, forming an "X" shape). Despite Mugen-1's pilot being in control it has no gun-themed attacks. It also has no trouble wielding weapons despite its lack of hands.

Mugen-Pied: A support mech which transforms into a highly-detailed humanoid foot. Mugen-X's foot folds up (sticking out very visibly) and Mugen-Pied attaches in place, granting it access to the finishing move "Ultimate Punch".

Mugen Super Final: Mugen-X's chest glows, and a hand reaches out, followed by an arm which grabs hold of Mugen-X's lower body as it forms a handle. Soon a giant naked man with glinting eyes has emerged, wielding Mugen-X as a hammer. One end of the hammer is a drill with a chainsaw for a tip. The hammer is also on fire.

...okay, that was possibly too much on drugs.
Any ideas on adding to the madness?

This isn't really connected to the rest of the stuff, so anyone can offer input.

Which one dies in a heroic sacrifice?

Also, describe the requisite annoying spunky kid.

I suggest adding several more stages. Mugen Super Final should be able to use Mugen X as a key-style object to plug into another thing which becomes like power armor for Mugen Super Final.

This power armor syncs with an even more giant death machine.

I've decided that there needs to be at least one weapon POWERED BY SHOUTING. And an attack which gives its enemies seizures until their heads explode.

And the vaguely more sensible sequel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7Gqm53Rwts&fmt=18) to this would be...

Mugen-Z

A set of three vehicles (Mugen Fire, Mugen Water and Mugen Earth). Two of them transform into beams of light that fly into gems on the third's body (a la Mushrambo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-D98kZTdKiU)). This vehicle then collapses into a skeletal humanoid frame which is filled in by energy. The combined form adds "Z" to the end of the primary vehicle's name.

Later on a fourth jet is introduced, Mugen Sky, which is piloted by a Mysterious Waif (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MysteriousWaif). It can transform into ghostly energy and fuse with one of the other vehicles (without entering the gem). It then collapses into a different skeletal form and releases a wave of white energy which absorbs the remaining two vehicles. The result is called Mugen Inferno Z, Mugen Ocean Z or Mugen Quake Z. In the final battle Mugen Sky instead opens a panel to reveal a gem which absorbs the other three vehicles at the same time, forming Mugen God Z.

Oh, and that Mysterious Waif is in a People Jar (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PeopleJars) and interacts with the world through a remote-controlled android body. Apparently it was one the resident Mad Scientist just happened to have lying around - it's best not to question why it happens to look like a little girl.

Mugen Fire Z

Mugen Inferno Z
Has wings.

Mugen Water Z
Resembles a skinny samurai.
Attacks: Mugen Sword

Mugen Ocean Z
Wears a cape. Samurai armour sections are composed entirely of sword sheaths.
Attacks: Grand Blade, Thousand Blades

Mugen Earth Z
A vaguely humanoid tank.
Attacks: Buzz Needle

Mugen Quake Z
A humanoid tank with horns on its head and chainsaws on its wrists.
Attacks: Smasher Buzz, Final Blast Harpoon

Well, if you're going to make Super Robots, you pretty much NEED to have a robot referencing the 5 Phases from Chinese thought.

Mugen γ (Gamma): A shooty robot, focusing on More Dakka and Beam Spam and RAAGHHHH. Due to its connection to China, you could make it a friendly Rival From China sort of robot.

A set of 5 vehicles:

Mugen 木 (Mu): The Mugen of Wood that is actually made up of a cockpit and thousands of vine-like metal tentacles. The robot uses these vines to attack, strangle, and crush enemies. When in the combined form, Mugen Mu forms the arms.

Mugen 火 (Huo): The Mugen of Fire, in the form of a thin, humanoid robot. Attacks with plasma cannons built into its palms. In the combined form, it forms a BLAZING SWORD of plasma.

Mugen 土 (Tu): The Mugen of Earth, in the form of a boxy dwarf-like robot. Attacks with giant punching fists of punching. In combined form, it Mugen Tu forms the torso and the fists.

Mugen 金 (Jin): The Mugen of Metal, in the form of a large collection of floating orbs surrounding a spherical cockpit. It attacks with the cannons hidden in each orb, and each orb can be independently positioned to maximize the firing arc. In combined form, Mugen Jin forms the legs.

Mugen 水 (Shui): The Mugen of Water, in the form of a small, feminine robot with a large, bowl-shaped device on her back, not unlike a turtle shell or a raft. It mostly runs around performing magical super maintenance on the other robots. In combined form, Mugen Shui forms the head.

That's not a Getter Robo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzs1D3M-9CA&fmt=18) reference though...

Oh, it's supposed to be Getter Robo references?

Make it a lot more offensively Chinese and it could be a Texas Mack equivalent. Needs more of either kung-fu or "stylish" blue uniforms and little red books for that, though.

"This cannon has too much high power man!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz4HsAULtuM)

...did I mention that I was watching videos of Texas Mack and RyuKoOh as you posted, Terra? :smalleek:

Because we all know that all Chinese females (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChineseGirl) wear odango. There is no reason for robots to be an exception.

If we want to be offensive this could be the robot that requires hundreds of pilots. :smalltongue:

Hey, is this offensive enough?
