Has anyone done a PF conversion of the Warlock? Thanks.

There is a semi-official conversion in the Tome of Secrets (http://paizo.com/store/byCompany/a/adamantEntertainment/pathfinderRPG/v5748btpy89n5&source=top). I can't say if it's good or not as I did not buy the book.

From what I heard, it's ok, but the stuff you'll use in it is probably only the classes and the rules for pursuits.

Edit: The Paizo website is having a hard time... Here's the link for DriveThruRPG (http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product_info.php?products_id=63908).

Thanks. I may pick up a copy.

I would really like to hear your thoughts about it if you end up getting it. The classes make me want to get it.

I personally think that that the Tome of Secrets is garbage, myself.

Easiest way to convert it would be to change the skills to match the new skill set, give 1 invocation per level, eldritch blast improves like sneak attack and can be used with iterative attacks (i.e. multiple blasts per round, including Hideous Blow so that invocation isn't useless), up the HD to a d8, and somewhere around level 6 give it the ability to cast in medium armor for free. Maybe at 14th level give it heavy.

Then, then my friend, it's perfect :P

As far as the other classes, the Artificer one just makes me unhappy, I can't really explain why, it just... isn't right. The other classes are... meh. They're nothing special. If you buy it, it's not that expensive so more power to you. If you don't, you're really not missing out on anything. Paizo gave power back to the wizards for making items, so artificer goodness is no longer required for magic item twinking. Overall, it's really a subpar book.

I know I will get a copy, I just don't know when. I might put in an order in December.

The warlock in the Tome of Secrets is a pretty radically different class from the 3.5 warlock. Basically, it's a cleric chassis (d8HP, 3/4 BAB, etc) who gains a new specialist wizard power every 2 levels, but never casts spells. Starts using them in light armor, and by 9th has heavy armor, as well as DR.

Same idea of using lesser powers all day long (and one of the wizard powers the character can choose is essentially eldritch blast, only you choose a type of elemental dmg whenever you use it), but there's no invocations per se.

The craziest power I saw was the Summon Monster II they can choose at 4th - you can summon monsters that last all day, and do so at will, with no limit - so you can literally summon an army each day if you were so inclined. At 20th, you can take the power that allows you to do this with any level of Summon Monster, so you could be summoning glabrezus and trumpet archons non-stop if you wanted.

It would actually make a pretty solid tank class, or you can play one as a support character, or as a blaster. Here's my notes on them from when I was making a character - it might give you an idea of what sorts of things they get.

As for the Tome of Secrets, I think the Warlord they designed is an excellent class - it's simple, but makes a strong party support and frontline fighter. Much cooler than the 3.5 marshall, almost as cool as the crusader. I also like their version of the warlock and the swashbuckler, and the priest is essentially a cloistered cleric from UA. Artificer, Knight, Shaman, and Spellblade are all a bit underwhelming.

I would not grant more armour. What I would do is make the base Eldritch Blast Short spell range. At say 8th - 10th level make it Medium and make it Long at say 16th.

But the rest looks good. :)
