My DM requires that the character sheets be typed...is there any character programs out there that feature DMG PHB 1-2, Complete Warrior, Complete Adventurer and are free? If not is there a way i can use the Character sheets online and put the information in them?

I use the Myth-Weavers character sheets. They're nice.

http://www.myth-weavers.com/

There's a 3.5 compatible sheet, but it won't generate any data for you.

I've personally had a pretty nifty time with the HeroForge sheet for my 3.5 game, but it's a ginormous Excel file, so sending it would be a little trixy. Maybe go poking around on Google?

EDIT: Found a link! http://www.nzcomputers.net/heroforge/default35.asp

Myth-Weavers: Yeah, you need to make an account before you can produce sheets.

HeroForge: Nah, just download the file you want, unzip it, open in Excel (it does not play well with OpenOffice unfortunately), and enjoy!

You should also look into MW's PbP, we're an awesome community over there

You should also look into GitP's PbP, we're an awesome community over here

The statement is just as true this way.

You could also ask your DM if he has any recommendations.

I dislike the PbP format here, but yes, both communities are, indeed, awesome.

The Problem is the DM requires us to put it together..But with all the research I have done, and not the memory of where things are located (which books and all) I would have a hard time trying to copy the DnD character sheet over and input things in it with paint.

You can also try the tangled web (http://thetangledweb.net/forums/profiler.php?); I like their sheets better than Myth-Weavers for some things (more things auto-update; the spell list is linked directly to the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/)), though MW's sections for character details don't exist on TTW :smallfrown: They had some troubles with their forums continually going down a while back, but they've never actually lost any data (to my knowledge, and I have a lot of characters stored over there), and the site's been really stable for the last eight months or so now that they're on better servers. Alternately, yes, HeroForge and MW are both great as well

do a google search for "interactive character sheets" you'll find a bunch of pdf or xls format character sheets that you just type what you want in the boxes,
most of them won't do any calculations for you past the +4 for an 18 ect and won't do any checking with rules. but it will be typed.

In my opinion its a little unfair of your dm to require typed character sheets without providing you the means to do so.

some i found quickly

Yeah, I found that out the hard way. I used it almost exclusively before now... any idea if anyone is actually making an open office version? You gotta think that there's some gamers who are also computer guys.
