It looks like you only took one move action out of two possible. If that's what you wanted, it's fine, but you can "trade down" your standard for a second move.

Also, Rage has been ruled to be a free action in and of itself in the Arena, so it doesn't have to be taken as part of another action.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-30, 11:55 PM
If rage is a free action that is fine... Also, I am good with where I am at...

Tanaric

Statblocks are for ref eyes only, which is the reason I'm dropping them for the duration of this match. All in-match spoilers without your name on them are considered off limits until a ref tells you that you can open them.

(If the crash course in Arena-nomics becomes annoying at any point, just tell me and I'll stop.)

Exhibit A, round 2

Free: Shift grip on spiked chain to two hands.

If so, cancel Mad Foam

Tanaric
2009-10-31, 12:21 AM
Yes, Natural 1s are auto-fail. Nat 20s are auto-hit.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:22 AM
In that case.

Done.

2009-10-31, 12:25 AM
Please tell me that's a tie.

Tanaric
2009-10-31, 12:25 AM
It's not a tie. You win, since you killed me before your turn was over.

As an aside, my AC was exactly 25. Stupid freakishly high strength. :smalltongue:

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:27 AM
Wow! Thanks... That was the most helpful 30 minutes I have ever spent on the forums.

Your AC is insane dude. If I hadn't got luck on two hits... you'da smoked me.

And Mad Foam Rager saved my bacon.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:29 AM
What, only 1 modifer higher than yours lol.

Can I ask a question... how did you get to 25?

I know 17 base, +4 force screen, +2 Shield of Faith. Was the other 2 a stance or something?

Oh and what source is Hidden Talent Force Screen from?

I like it.

Tanaric
2009-10-31, 12:29 AM
My Druid had 28 AC until I realized I was "doin' it rong". :smallfrown: Now I have to settle for like 24. Eees very sad.

Ah, you've faced my melee, but dare you face Kil'ak, abuser of sovereign archetypes? (http://www.thetangledweb.net/forums/profiler/view_char.php?cid=30441) :smallcool:

Edit: It's from XPH. Sidebar, so it didn't make it into the SRD.

Edit2: Stance of Clarity. Gives +2 AC against one foe, -2 against others.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:32 AM
I will... but not tonight. Gonna catch a few Zzz's. Honestly, I'd love to do a 2v2 with you some time. Your freakin' awesome.

Also, can you tell me how helpful a burrow speed would be?

Hypothetically of course.

Ah... Warblades are sick... especially at level 12.

Tanaric
2009-10-31, 12:34 AM
It follows the underwater rules in the Arena, so you can only stay under as long as you can hold your breath. Useful, but not amazing, especially when you have easy to get flight options (Animal Devotion, among others).

That, and you're screwed if you play on the Clouds arena.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:35 AM
Yeah, I'll think about it some more then...

Also, can I sign up for Tournaments even though I haven't been officially approved?

Tanaric
2009-10-31, 12:36 AM
You can, and it's helpful if you do. That way a ref can place you when you're cleared.

It's not a sure thing if others get cleared first, though.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:38 AM
Last question (for now) I promise.

Can I have one character in more than one tournament at the same time?

Tanaric
2009-10-31, 12:39 AM
Nope, one gladiator per round, and that gladiator can't join another round until it wins or loses all its matches.

Talking Donkey
2009-10-31, 12:41 AM
Ok, thanks again for everything.

Gonna register for a match or two then call it a night.
