You awaken in the center of a 10ft by 15ft room with stone walls, ceilings, and floors. A torch is burning on the wall behind you, while the other three walls have closed, metal doors with brackets allowing you to bar them from the inside. Unfortunately, only two metal rods are lying on the floor.

Gearbox will take 20 on a listen check.

Then, he will take out a candle, light it with a torch, and put it on his head. The 2 metal rods he will put in his backpack.

Gearbox is wielding his spiked chain.

He hears some soft crackling sounds and low voices(can't distinguish words or languages) to the north, but nothing from the other directions.

Be aware that the metal rods are six feet long, and weight approx 15 lbs each.

Gearbox will then carry the 2 rods as improptu 6 feet pole.

It will make it's way to the north door and open it cautiously, having the spiked chain at the ready.

You peer into a 10ft wide room, 30 ft long, with another wooden door on the far side. In the room is four kobolds(F1, E1, E2, C2) around a fire. They see you about the same time you see them.

Need a 20 to reduce from hostile, so no luck.

The nearest three storm torward you with spears, while the one in the back pulls out a sling. Since an AoO is indeed provoked, it's back to you.

Readied action drops one. The two front kobolds come at you with spears, the back one pops off a round from a sling, despite the confusion of melee.

Gearbox will take 20 to search the chest of any traps, then he will open it. After seeing what is inside, he will proceed to put every worldly possesions the kobolds had inside the chest. He will carry the chest under his left arm (see Eberron Campaign Setting cover), dropping the chest when he needs both his hands. Upon dropping the chest, he will put his left hand on the spiked chain as a free action to wield it properly.

After looting everything, try and collect one tooth from each dead kobold as a souvenir. If they are not dead...crush them first.

When all their belongings and teeth are in the chest, go back to the starting room and enter through the central door.

Gearbox will drop the chest and plow inside the right room (k3) with his spiked chain ready to kill (free action to drop chest, free action to put left arm on chain, move action to K3, either ready to attack anyone coming within my reach or attack any hostiles within my reach).
